Unsurprisingly, all the worst people are defending Russell Brand. For posterity, here’s a few:

[1/2] Lozza Fox, Ian Miles Cheong, Calvin Robinson, Bev Turner (GBNews)…

2/2 “SyriaGirl”, Anya Pamparil (Grayzone), Aseem Malhotra, Media Lens…

Missed one:

I also missed Tucker Carlson somehow

… Jordan Peterson

Well, Edgar tells me that the people NOT defending Brand have Ukraine flags in their bios, making them “narcissistic woke-left fake virtue signallers”, so maybe he is innocent after all!

Also, as I’ve learnt from this reply guy: #LetWomenSpeak — but only unless they have credible testimony of sexual abuse at the hands of a privileged man, because letting women speak then is “fascist”.

@Steve_Cooke I guess you’ve seen this:

I probably shouldn’t keep going should I

George “rape is just bad sexual etiquette” Galloway has been amplifying quite a few right-wing extremists in his quest to exonerate his friend Russell.

Chris Williamson of course.

Hopefully the last one, via @Gledster. Note the capital T in Allison Pearson’s “They”, the hallmark of conspiracist thinking.

@Roger__McCarthy @janeclarejones @AiJayScott “our cynicism”

@SecretGuy2020 @IndiaWilloughby However, I’m not making a point about Brand’s guilt or innocence (hopefully he’ll stand trial so we can be certain), so much as about the his allies’ blind defence & the cynical/gullible conspiracism that says he’s being attacked by the blob because he’s some kind of truth teller

I managed to fork my thread. Continue here:

Also this thread covers the same ground but better:

As does this one:

@Gledster No that wasn’t the last one. I should’ve guessed that Syrian chemical weapon truther and Covid denialist Piers Robinson would be on the Brandwagon

@Gledster And the other members of Robinson’s wacky chemical weapons denialist “Working Group”, Tim Hayward (of @EdinburghUni) and Tara MacCormack (of Spiked).

Some helpful feedback here from some Brand fans.
