The israeli soldiers kidnapped and disappeared my uncle and his five sons from our house last night. They blindfolded them, tortured them, then took them as human shields. Now israel is claiming they’re terrorists, so let me tell you about these beautiful men I grew up with.
First guy from the right is Islam Ziara. Islam & I are the same age. He’s an accountant & he got married recently. His wife and him didn’t get to enjoy their newlywed life before this genocide started. Islam was taken away from his wife, mother, & sister by the israeli soldiers.
Right next to him is his eldest brother, Hassan. He’s the same age as my brother whom israel killed two days ago, 33. He’s an engineer and has two boys, Qusai & Zain. His wife Roba, who told us about the horrors they’ve seen, is a Program Manager for Jerusalem & Gaza at Oxfam.
Third from the right is Tareq. He is an accountant. He loves his wife Neveen so much, it always warms my heart reading the love letters he writes to her on social media. They have a beautiful little daughter called Sireen, after his mother. His wife is currently pregnant.
Fourth from the right is Yousif. He’s a successful Youtube gaming streamer. He has 100K+ subscribers & got a YouTube Silver Play Button. The israeli soldiers stripped Yousif naked, put the israeli flag on him, and took pictures. He is still without clothes in the pic released.
Fifth from the right is Abed. He’s a lawyer, married with a little girl named Tuleen. His wife is currently pregnant. Abed occasionally suffers from seizures. The israeli soldiers attack triggered his seizures, & when he dropped to the floor, the israeli soldiers kicked his head.
With my 5 cousins, the israeli soldiers took their father, my uncle. He is not seen in the photo released. We don’t know whether he is with them, just not pictured, or if he was taken somewhere else. That’s him at his son’s wedding. He is 61 years old.
These are our men. Fathers, brothers, sons. Hardworking and love life. They have families who love them & children that are desperately waiting for their return. They’re not terrorists. It’s not their fault they are indigenous to a land occupied by the most inhumane colonizer.
