#Eurovision #Eesti #EestiLaul2024

🇪🇪🐋THE 15 SEMI FINALISTS🐋🇪🇪

5miinust & Puuluup - (nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi
While many artists are involved with this one, none seem to have any previous songs in Eesti Laul. However, songwriter Kim Wennerström was involved with Gabrielius Vagelis' most recent PiN-entry "Šauksmas"

Anet Vaikmaa - Serotoniin
While Anet herself is new to Eesti Laul, songwriter Sven Lõhmus is a true veteran, having previously gone to Eurovision with "Let's Get Loud", "Rändajad", "Rockefeller Street", and "Verona", as well as writing many other fan-favorites

Antsud - Vetevaim
Folk-ensemble Antsud is back from their 2017 attempt. Between the two participations, frontwoman Aile Alveus also participated with "Külm", as a part of Etnopatsy

Cecilia - FOMO
Newcomer Cecilia allies with Sander Sadam, who was behind An-Marlen's "Lõpuks muutub" and Kea's "Hypnotized", as well as Liis Hainla, who is credited for Leila Jane's Late Late Show entry "Wild", as well as another song this year. @anmarlenator this ones for you!

Ewert and The Two Dragons - Hold Me Now
Ewert Sundja's first of two entries this year. Ewert previously competed in 2004 with "Dance", and wrote Rasmus Rändvee's "This Love". He collaborates with Ivo Etti, who previously had entries in 2006 and 2007

Inga - No Dog On a Leash
Inga Tislar's fifth Eesti Laul attempt. She previously competed with "Unikaalne" as one of the La La Ladies, "Milline päev" as a featured artist, "Right Time", and "Music Saved My Soul" as part of Delulu. She is joined by Markus Palo who we'll get back to

Ingmar - Dreaming
The Estonian "Ing-" gang gains another member, with young Ingmar making his Eesti Laul debut. The song is exclusively self written, having no connections to any previous entry

Laura - Here's Where I Draw the Line
Estonian pop-icon Laura Põldvere returns for her ninth NF entry, having previously won as part of a group and duet in 2005 and 2017. Is this finally her time to go as a soloist? The song is cowritten by Johannes Lõhmus, who had a song in 2003

Multikas, Ewert Sundja - Oblivion
Ewert's second entry this year. He partners with Multikas, two thirds of production group Cartoon. They have written fan favorites like "Immortality", "So Good (At What You Do)", and "Monsters". Expect a more electronic sound than "Hold Me Now"

Ollie - My Friend
2023 runner-up Ollie returns, seeking to improve on the result he achieved with "Venom". He has previously written for Uku Suviste ("Supernatural"/"Pretty Little Liar") as well as the more mellow "Unistustes". Can he win this time?

Peter Põder - Korra veel
Having previously participated with "Koos lõpuni" in 2022, Peter hopes to make it to the final this time. He has also written Inga's "Right Time", the sausage-themed "Kapa Kohi-LA", and another song for 2024, which we will get to

Silver Jusilo - Lately
Another 2022 quarter-finalist, Silver Jusilo is back after the tranquil "Elu rüpes", seemingly switching language this time. The song is co-written by Markus Palo, who also wrote Inga's entry this year

Sofia Rubina - Be Good
Eesti Laul veteran Sofia Rubina is back, hoping to do good, and look good with her entry, which was written by the team behind Helen's "Nii kõrgele". Her husband, Jason, made it to the final with Anett and Fredi last year, can his wife achieve the same?

Traffic - Wunderbar
One of the defining forces in the history of Eesti Laul, Traffic is back, hoping to finally grab the trophy. While Stig Rästa (of Goodbye to Yesterday fame) is not part of the band anymore, he is still in the songwriting credits as well as frontman Silver Laas

Yonna - I Don't Know About You
Johanna Eendra is back after her 2019 fan favorite "Miks sa teed nii?", switching to English and using the artist name Yonna. Will she make it out of the semi this time?

🇪🇪🦢PREQUALIFIED FINALISTS🦢🇪🇪

Brother Apollo - Bad Boy
After trying out for UMK, Finnish band Brother Apollo is walking in the footsteps of Jyrise and Laura Põldvere, and crossing the Gulf of Finland. However, they don't seem to have any connections with previous entries

Carlos Ukareda - Never Growing Up
2023 "Whisky Won't Forget" singer Carlos Ukareda is returning, this time being assured of making the final. Will the country vibes continue?

Daniel Levi - Over the Moon
2015 silver medalist and 2017 finalist Daniel Levi is back. Apart from his EL entries, Daniel also cowrote RAUM's recent Supernova songs. The song is cowritten by Victor Crone and Vallo Kikas, who previously joined forces on "Storm" and "Üks kord veel"

Nele-Liis Vaiksoo - Käte ümber jää
Eesti Laul newcomer Nele-Liis has enlisted Peter Põder and Allan Kasuk as songwriters. The two previously collaborated on Inga's "Right Time". Allan Kasuk has been involved with the previous entries of Kruuv and Indrek Ventmann

Uudo Sepp, Sarah Murray - Still Love
2020 finalist Uudo Sepp is back, singing a duet with Irish-Norwegian singer Sarah Murray. The song was cowritten by Liis Hainla, who was part of the team behind Leila Jane's fan favorite "Wild", as well as Cecilia's "FOMO" from this year

And that's all! Hope you enjoyed this deep dive! I'll leave you with this plot of all Eesti Laul entries (2009-2024). Hope you will enjoy the songs. See you very soon for #BenidormFest2024 and #Fik62
