Excellent question: How did Anat, who had no journalism experience, and her 24 yr old co-author Adam Sella (nephew by marriage) come to lead a front page investigation?

I will try to answer.

Her first article in New York Times is on Nov 14, 2023.

Quick bio I found:

In 2017, she directed a documentary that was originally titled "Dream: Israel" but changed to "La Promise"

She apparently joined vault ai in 2020.

It seems like a run of the mill data analysis company for clickbaiting.

Like I said...

After Vault AI, she did a short film in 2022.

Now let's get to her co-author, who also didn't write beforehand Oct 2023...

It is her nephew!

This is a post from her husband.

Now, Jeffrey Gettleman spent years in Africa and he was interviewed in 2018 by times of Israel. He spews run of the mill anti-islamic bigotry.

His book is also reminiscent of neocolonial racism.

And his quality of reporting is actually much worse than these articles mentions...

He admitted to it.

Here is another example of his "journalism"

Back to Anat Schwartz, she liked the post that said "Gaza should be turned into a slaughterhouse", well before she wrote her first article fo @nytimes

And now, she approached people for interviews because it was important for Israeli advocacy!!!

On top of it @gettleman says it is not his job to "present evidence"

.@Anatschwartz has reactivated her account. But she has purged it of her previous genocidal "likes"

If the shoe were on the other foot, would @nytimes tolerate this from the other side?

Absolutely not.

He was a photographer and not a journalist.

How does @nytimes report actual hunger and starvation in Gaza?

Passive tense.

@nytimes Israel deliberately blocking aid... is reported with passive tense.

I can't find any reports of @nytimes reporting genocidal language used by Yoav Gallant, Netanyahu or anyone else in power.

This is who @Anatschwartz did her documentary film on 😅

This was one of the guys interviewed by the trio.. Roz Cohen was an idf operative who worked as a mercenary in Congo.

Here is a great overview of Roz Cohen as an unreliable witness and a witness who has many conflicts of interests that should have been disclosed by any decent reporter.

Maybe this answers the Anat Schwartz question... ironically an article from @nytimes

See @sorayashock was told being Palestinian was a disqualifier. While @Anatschwartz actually reached out to witnesses "for Israeli advocacy "

Wow.
