The trio of Russian war transports continue west in the Med, passing south Sardinia.
Anyone with more naval expertise care to comment on Sparta's maneuvers? @FouthTimeLucky @IntercityFC @OptimisticCon
If i let my own sunday-sailor imagination run wild it looks like patrols?
@FouthTimeLucky @IntercityFC @OptimisticCon It does not stop. Had I not known better I would think this is three sailboats beating upwind.... But it is three Russian quite motorized ships.
Russian trio of absurdly maneuvering war transport ships in the Med last 24 hours:
continued sailboatsmovements, tightening of formation, going back and forth.
Last days tracks in relation to yearly traffic in next post.
Russian trio of absurdly maneuvering war transport ships in the Med last 24 hours:
Closing in on Gibraltar, slightly increased speeds. Threat behind them now?
Said ships in relation to other traffic. They are not exactly alone. Great ship spotting opportunity for passing seamen! Please provide photographic proof of spot.
Russian trio of absurdly maneuvering war transport ships in the Med, heading for Baltics, last 12 hours:
Gibraltar by nightfall. 0.5 mile get together this morning. Possibly being met by a Spanish patrol ship.
Morning get together. Lasted just a few minutes according to AIS, so I doubt time for STS of fuel not cargo.
Russian trio of absurdly maneuvering war transport ships passing STROG for Baltics, last 12 hours:
Ships spread out over a ~45 mile distance. Sparta IV and Yaz were briefly visually inspected by a small UK Royal Navy boat. No other mil vessels seen, but AIS is often incomplete
Ursa Major took the lead through STROG and was photographed by @key2med . The two following are passing after dark.
Each of the three conspicious russian ships where checked out by Portugese navy as they passed Portugal, if I understand this post correctly.
The RU ship trio has really spread out, 500 NMi between them.
2.5 days til Ursa Major pass the Danish straits, ie at this speed in daylight.
Wonder if the naval tanker Kola that left Baltiysk a few days back for unknown (?) reason might be involved? @Drox_Maritime @skateparken
Allegedly the trio were escorted by frigate Grigorovich til Gibraltar. So likely a precious cargo. Thanks @IntercityFC
This precious cargo will start arriving to Baltics in 2-3 days.
