Happening now: Two So Cal Antifa members are on trial in San Diego County for their alleged roles in a violent 2021 conspiracy at Pacific Beach where people, including a woman and child, were beaten. Nine out of the 11 Antifa defendants have already pleaded guilty to various violent felonies. Pictured below, @SDDistAtty prosecutor Makenzie Harvey presents evidence in opening statements about the Antifa aliases defendants Jeremy J. "The Antifa Soldier" White and Brian "Antifa Boy ACAB 5" Lightfoot used while communicating plans on Signal. Both are represented pro bono by far-left San Francisco attorneys.

At the beginning of trial, defendant White suddenly pleaded he's "not guilty by reason of insanity." Court photos today by Ken Stone/Times of San Diego. thepostmillennial.com/andy-ngo-repor…

.@EvaKnott and I have been reporting on the So Cal Antifa case for years. It remains the first time any district attorney was willing to charge violent Antifa members with felony conspiracy, signaling that they're an organized movement with cells that plan and carry out violent crimes. Nine out of the 11 indicted have been convicted already. Read our reporting: thepostmillennial.com/author/eva?utm…

Antifa attorney John Hamasaki, who is representing Antifa "ringleader" Brian Lightfoot pro bono, tried to get my colleague @EvaKnott banned from reporting on the trial. He filed a frivolous motion and was laughed out of court thanks to the robust response from free speech lawyer @GillSperlein and the support of @Liberty_Ctr.

Leftist Oakland attorney Curtis Briggs, who represents violent felony Antifa suspect Jeremy Jonathan White pro bono, previously filed a motion to disqualify the San Diego County District Attorney's Office from prosecuting the felony conspiracy case. He was hoping it would go to the California Attorney General, a Democrat, where it would be dropped. The request was denied by San Diego Judge Daniel Goldstein. Read:

@EvaKnott San Diego reporter @ZaraBarkertv reports on the two So Cal Antifa members who are on trial for a brutal attack at Pacific Beach in 2021. Their pro bono leftist attorneys argue they were peacefully protesting despite videos showing the violent attacks.

So Cal Antifa member Erich Louis "Nikki" Yach was the first of the 11 Antifa defendants to plead guilty and be sent to prison. He was arrested at a border crossing between California and Mexico. He was sentenced to five years in prison in November 2022, a sentence enhanced by the fact that he was out on bail for a previous violent felony when he carried out attacks at the January 2021 Antifa riot. During sentencing, Yach's partner asked the court to house him in a women's facility and to refer to his name as "Nikki." Yach was given early release from prison this week as his comrades were in trial. Read: thepostmillennial.com/violent-san-di…

As the So Cal Antifa criminal trial continued in San Diego County on April 4, one of Antifa's victims testified about being beaten by the mob in 2021 when he was a minor boy. He was at a pro-Trump gathering with friends from school when they were jumped by Antifa. Leftist defense attorney Curtis Briggs for Antifa member Jeremy J. White suggested the boy was asking for it by standing around with his friends as Antifa surrounded them.
