In 2009 former Ohio Representative James Traficant claimed that Israel through its lobbying power entraps the United States into Wars it should not be in.
He had just been released from prison for tax and campaign finance violations.
He always maintained that the FBI, the DOJ, and the IRS were weaponized against him.
Was Traficant a criminal or was Traficant leaned on for telling the truth???

Traficant said and did many things that irritated a lot of powerful people and entities. Most of the clips that follow are audio clips from a radio interview he did before his prison sentence in 2002. They are enlightening….
For one, he helped pass a law that allowed the citizens to sue the IRS for abusing its own people!
He also was constantly calling out foreign countries for destroying the US steel industry and advocated for tariffs strongly. (He was ahead of the curve here clearly and he was a democrat!)

Before the conviction in 2002, The Feds indicted him once before for a similar charge in 1983.
Amazingly he beat that charge even though he represented himself.
He was not a trained lawyer.
He explains well why he represented himself both times.
“If the feds really want you, the lawyer is not going to have your best interest. They aren’t going to want to get leaned on either. I trust the only person I know who has beaten the feds once without a lawyer, and that’s Jim Traficant.”
He also explains well how the feds lean on your friends and offer plea deals for them to turn against you…
Lastly in a shocking revelation he explains how the FBI worked and was infiltrated by the Mob. (Not so shocking really.) but that’s how he got entangled the first time with the feds in 1983.

Traficant came under heavy fire for defending people when it was politically difficult.
Specifically The John Demjanjuk case. Essentially it was a case of mistaken identity. Demjanjuk was supposedly a Nazi camp guard, but it turns out it wasn’t him.
Traficant came under heavy fire from Jewish Americans, but he never waivered. He claimed the Bill of rights should apply to us all, and as it turned out he was right to help.

Even to the end Traficant always maintained how much disdain he had for the FBI, the DOJ and the IRS.
But also he left us with a chilling message.
He says the US used to be a country ruled by its citizens but now that the American people have no say in the government.
How right he is.
Sooooo.. was Traficant a Criminal? Or was he a patriot??
