EXCLUSIVE: A lengthy congressional investigation led by @SenTedCruz just exposed the deranged lies of several online services that deplatformed @libsoftiktok, @Riley_Gaines_, and me. 🧵

/ Eventbrite, which controls 50% of the event management market, canceled seven events themed around my film “What is a Woman?”, claiming the events violated their Hateful Events Policy. But the committee found that no one at Eventbrite had even seen my film.

/ Instead, Eventbrite told the committee that my events were “hateful” in part because of my appearance on a January 2022 episode of “Dr. Phil.” During that episode, I challenged trans activists to define the word “woman.” They could not.

/ Eventbrite also objected to my bestselling children’s book “Johnny the Walrus,” about a boy who thinks he’s a walrus. The message of the book is that young children should not mutilate themselves in an attempt to become walruses. Eventbrite told the committee this was a problem.

/ It’s important to emphasize how insane this is. Because of innocuous comments I made and a book I wrote, Eventbrite declared that I cannot be allowed to host events using their platform concerning my film in any way.

/ The committee found that Eventbrite used similar logic to deplatform swimmer Riley Gaines. Here’s a viral tweet from Gaines, which Eventbrite told the committee is one of the reasons they had to deplatform her:

/ According to Eventbrite, Gaines’ tweet was evidence that she violated their policies against espousing hatred based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Notably, Eventbrite does not ban discrimination on the basis of biological sex – so trans activists are free to harass women.

/As for Libs of TikTok, Slack terminated her access to the platform because she allegedly incited hatred. Here’s Slack’s statement to the committee, which is as close to incoherent as you can imagine:

/ The committee noted that both Slack and Eventbrite appeared to be taking cues from Left-wing activist groups like the ADL and SPLC. For example, the ADL – which Eventbrite cites as a reliable source – has labeled me and Libs of TikTok as “extremists.”

/ The report mentions other groups who were targeted by online platforms, including the Independent Women’s Forum @IWF. The committee found that IWF was kicked off the fundraising platform Bonterra for defending women’s rights.

/ Conservatives have long suspected they’re being deplatformed for fraudulent, politically motivated reasons. This congressional investigation confirms it. My full thoughts here:
