let's learn a little bit more about russell womack, the treasurer of real texans for justice and a founding member of the nationalist coalition

according to the walker county tax assessor's website, the russell womack listed on the real texans for justice paperwork is RUSSELL DEREK WOMACK

a quick google search shows that he used to book shows for a punk house venue called the houston house of creeps in ~2010

it turns out that the landlord of the houston house of creeps did not actually intend for them to host punk and hardcore shows there, so russell womack and his roomates were evicted in 2011, and then sued for damages and back rent in 2013

digging a bit more into russell's connections from this time, it turns out that his house of creeps roommate ran a blog and youtube channel where they documented their travels and interviewed punk bands. here russell womack interviews the hates

in other videos from this era (2009), russell sings the shins' "new slang" and deathcab for cutie's "i will follow you into the dark" while traveling through europe

unfortunately just after he got home from that trip, russell had a domestic violence charge filed against him in rockwall county, tx

somehow, despite that charge, russell was allowed to work as a substitute teacher in houston in 2010.

i haven't yet located any info about what russell womack was up to between the 2013 lawsuit and the 2024 pac filing that began this thread. but his background raises the question: how does a punk house kid become a founding member of a neo-nazi "coalition" in a decade?
