Meet IAS Dr Pooja Khedkar
The controversial Dr Pooja Khedkar who fraudulently got into IAS by submitting fake disability certificate. Her father Dilip Khedkar who was state govt officer had also amassed eye popping wealth. His declared assets actual mkt value is over Rs 100 Cr while annual income Rs 1 cr.
1. She was on probation as an trainee IAS but her self entitlement filled arrogance made her famous among all state govt officers.
2. In 2021, Pooja selected as Assistant Director in sport authority in OBC PwBD 1 but in 2023, she mysteriously chanced her category 4m PwBD1 to PwBD5 & got selected as IAS.
3. Right from the day 1 she started sending whatsapp messages to her officer colleagues with whom she was attached as trainee to demand for a car, Bangladesh, security guard and a cabin of her choice despite being a trainee!!
4. She 1st sought VIP number plate & put red beacon on private Audi gifted to her by a contractor, snatched Pune collector private chamber, put a blue beacon also on her gifted Audi car. Though she was advised against UDI g red beacon on her private car but she did not budge.
5. As per rules, a trainee is not provided with the above amenities and is required to be appointed as a gazetted officer first.
Khedkar, however, did not stop at this. She also occupied the ante-chamber of additional collector Ajay More when he was away and put up a board with her name and made changes to cabin as per her fancies.
6. Miss Khedkar who secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 841 in UPSC, even removed all the materials, including chairs, sofas, tables, without the prior consent of the additional collector.
She then instructed the revenue assistant to provide a letterhead, visiting card, paperweight, nameplate, royal seal, intercom in her name.

Her father Diliprao Khedkar, a retired officer in Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), had been using his influence to put pressure on senior officials including the collector, additional collector, and resident deputy collector, to fulfill the demands made by her daughter. Ironically Diliprao Khedkar fought 2024 Loksabha elections on the ticket of Prakash Ambedkar's party Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi. In his election affidavit his network is 40 crore with annual income of 1 crore!!
Still his daughter needed reservation!!
8. Pooja Khedkar’s grandfather too was a civil servant. Her mother is an elected sarpanch of Bhalgaon in Pathardi taluka of Ahmednagar district. As an officer on probation, she was expected to work in various departments to gain hands-on experience before her permanent appointment.
9. She has been splashed all over the internet due to the questionable way of appointment as well as entry into the administrative service. On Feb 2, 2022 Pooja Khedkar was denied appointment, following which she filed an affidavit in court claiming to be visually impaired and mentally ill. The court scheduled her medical examination four times between July and September 2022. She failed to appear all four times and hence the tribunal refused to give her any relief. In 2023, however, her affidavit was presented under the Rights of Disabilities Act, 2016 and consequently her appointment was given a go-ahead.
10. The Maharashtra government has decided to transfer IAS probationer Dr Pooja Khedkar from Pune to Washim. This order comes after the administration received many complaints against her including a 25 page letter from Pune collector and govt officers working with Miss Khedkar at Pune collectorate. The government order that was signed by S M Mahadik, assistant secretary, government of Maharashtra, cited administrative reasons for this transfer.
11. Pooja Khedkar became an IAS officer from the OBC non-creamy layer category, but her father's election affidavit showed his wealth to be worth Rs 40 crore.
How can such income fall into the non-creamy layer?
She has admitted to being mentally ill and a person with multiple disabilities. However, she skipped medical examinations several times.
How can she be appointed as an I.A.S. despite such fraudulent claims?
Transferring her to another location will not solve this menace of reservation quota misuse!!

12. Reservation should be need based basis economic profile not on legacy criteria of caste and categories. Till then we will.have 100s of Pooja Khedkars using tax payors money to feed their large than life self entitlement egos.
