Peter Thiel, JD Vance, Project 2025 leaders, & other extremists are heavily involved w/ the National Conservatism movement led by Yoram Hazony who says “Minorities…like Orthodox Jews in America…need to be supportive of efforts to establish a Christian public life…” 1/

/ Hazony also says that “To conserve something, there has to be a predominant culture which … inculcates, day to day, hour to hour, which passes things down to its children. That’s not the neo-Marxist woke thing.”

/ 😳 Hazony says that “America flourished when it had. … a dominant culture, and that was Protestant. And I certainly sympathize with Catholics or Jews, with Black Americans, with others who felt … they didn’t have a good place within that society … A lot of the objections are well taken. But it doesn’t change the fact that if there’s no dominant group setting the tone, then the domestic piece becomes a … much more violent competition…”

/ On the issue of what version of “Christianity” he’d like to see in charge of America, Hazony says, “maybe it’ll be a Protestant-Catholic alliance, I think that’s more likely, that Protestants [evangelicals] and Catholics will come to some kind of uh, uh vision that’s scripture and religion…” (The video appears to have been cut & spliced right before the phrase “that’s scripture and religion.” If so, that’s not my editing. It’s theirs.)

/ The above clips are from this video posted by American Moment, a Project 2025 partner co-founded by Nick Solheim and Saurabh Sharma, the men interviewing Yoram Hazony.

/ As of today, American Moment’s website still lists JD Vance as a member of its Emeritus Board. americanmoment.org/board-of-advis…

/ The so-called “National Conservatism” Movement was kickstarted by Yoram Hazony with the publication of his book, the Virtue of Nationalism, in 2018.

/ Hazony’s The “Virtue of Nationalism” was “selected as the Conservative Book of the Year for 2019 and was an Amazon #1 best-seller in both International Diplomacy and Nationalism,” per NatCon’s website.  nationalconservatism.org/natcon-london-…

/ In 2019, Yoram Hazony and David Brog (former Executive Director of Christians United for Israel) founded the Edmund Burke Foundation, which organizes the annual National Conference of Anglo-American Conservative Tradition (aka “NatCon”). influencewatch.org/non-profit/edm…

/ About Christians United for Israel. @brucewilson

@brucewilson 12/ In 2022, Peter Thiel helped Yoram Hazony promote his second book, Conservatism: A Rediscovery

@brucewilson 13/ According to Vanity Fair, Peter Thiel has also “helped fund NatCon.” vanityfair.com/news/2022/04/i…

@brucewilson 14/ Peter Thiel provided the opening keynote address during NatCon1 in July 2019.

/ Peter Thiel protege JD Vance was featured during NatCon1 as well.

/ Peter Thiel also gave key note addresses during NatCon2 and NatCon3.

/ JD Vance at NatCon 2 and 4.

/ In April 2022, Peter Thiel endorsed Yoram Hazony’s second book.

/ In June 2022, the Edmund Burke Foundation (founded by Yoram Hazony & David Brog) published a Statement of Principles.” nationalconservatism.org/national-conse…

/ The NatCon Statement of Principles declares in part that, “Where a Christian majority exists, public life should be rooted in Christianity and its moral vision, which should be honored by the state and other institutions both public and private.” WTF?! nationalconservatism.org/national-conse…

/ The NatCon Statement was signed by the Claremont Institute’s president (Ryan Williams) and Chairman (Tom Klingenstein). Like American Moment (whose co-founders signed the Statement too), the Claremont Institute is an important Project 2025 partner.

/ In fact, the Claremont Institute recently hired Theo Wold (who spoke during NatCon4) to lead its “Administrative State Project.”

/ If Claremont Institute chairman Tom Klingenstein sounds familiar, it may be due to this creepy video. He’s the guy speaking.

/ Some info about Claremont president Ryan Williams who signed NatCon’s Statement of Principles.

/

/

/ Claremont Institute president Ryan Williams and Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts spearheaded this 79 days report… Heritage is the lead organizer of Project 2025.

/ At NatCon4, Kevin Roberts declared that, “I think NatCon 4 is the most important gathering of conservatives yet in the 21st century. … You might even say, accounting for the institution building that NatCon is leading, that we’re in the second American revolution…”

/ Turning back to NatCon’s Statement of Principles, it was also signed by former Claremont VP Matt Peterson who co-founded The American Mind (Claremont’s online publication) & oversaw Claremont’s fellowship program. He later co-founded “New Founding” w/ former Claremont Lincoln Fellow Nate Fischer b4 moving to Blaze Media (owned by Glenn Beck). linkedin.com/posts/matthewj…

/ Here is Matt Peterson w/ American Moment co-founder Saurabh Sharma & JD Vance. As indicated in the tweet, Sharma says he was inspired to found the American Moment after reading an article by JD Vance. Peterson boasts that he was the editor who published it while at Claremont.

/ As mentioned, American Moment co-founders Saurabh Sharma & Nick Solheim signed NatCon’s Statement of Principles. Sharma is also Executive Director of the Edmund Burke Foundation, which organizes NatCon! Solheim is their CFO. They are NatCon central. burke.foundation/people/nick-so…

/ American Moment is also Project 2025 central. Here’s their mission statement. americanmoment.org

/ American Moment put out this press release in June 2022, the same month the NatCon Statement of Principles was released (the one American Moment’s co-founders signed). Is this who u want choosing personnel for the next administration? americanmoment.org/news/american-…

/ American Moment posted this in March 2021. It appears that they were preparing for Project 2025 early on.

/ Oh it gets worse.

/ NatCon’s June 2022 Statement of Principles was also signed by Peter Thiel AND this guy, Timon Cline, who supposedly “made the case for renouncing separation of church and state” during NatCon4.

/ In August 2022, NatCon founder Yoram Hazony gushed that “Three superb essays defending ‘Christian nationalism’ were published in the last week. One of those 3 essays was penned by Timon Cline.

😳 Here’s the Timon Cline essay RECOMMENDED BY NATCON LEADER YORAM HAZONY. In it, Cline says that “national, governmental honor of Christianity” would mean, for starters, “blasphemy laws & Sabbath laws, to say nothing of public architecture, civil rituals, & school curriculum—the expressions of cultural Christianity.” 38/ theamericanconservative.com/against-public…

/ Another essay recommended by NatCon leader Yoram Hazony is this one by William Wolfe, a former Trump official & former lobbyist for Heritage Action (an arm of the Heritage Foundation). Per Hazony, Wolfe was at this time studying at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. standingforfreedom.com/2022/07/whats-…

/ In September 2022, William Wolfe recommended a new “Christian Nationalism” book by Andrew Isker and Gab CEO who had previously remarked that, “We don't want people who are atheists. We don't want people who are Jewish. We don't want people who are, you know, nonbelievers, agnostic, whatever. This is an explicitly Christian movement.”jpost.com/american-polit…

/ In November 2022, William Wolfe recommended another book, the Case for Christian Nationalism” by Stephen Wolfe (no relation to William).

/ “The Case for Christian Nationalism” by Stephen Wolfe was promoted by none other than Yoram Hazony, leader of the National Conservatism Movement (backed by Thiel), who blurbed the book and featured it on NatCon’s website.  canonpress.com/products/the-c…

/ That NatCon’s top leader would promote The Case for Christian Nationalism is imho horrifying. “The Case for Christian Nationalism advocates for an ethnically uniform nation ruled by a ‘Christian prince,’” as detailed in Reason Magazine.
reason.com/2023/05/13/bew…

/ This is a clip from an interview of Stephen Wolfe. Please read the caption. It is appalling.

/ Stephen Wolfe “openly argues for laws criminalizing blasphemy, heresy, and public impiety. ‘That is not to say that capital punishment is the necessary, sole, or desired punishment’ for heresy, Wolfe reassures us. ‘Banishment & long-term imprisonment may suffice...’ How magnanimous.” christianitytoday.com/ct/2022/decemb…

/ To sustain such a world, Stephen Wolfe “calls for a ‘measured and theocratic Caesarism,’ overseen by a ‘prince as a world-shaker for our time, who brings a Christian people to self-consciousness,’ a man of ‘dignity and greatness of soul.’ In a footnote he frankly states that ‘modern democracy is often more oppressive than its alternatives. I prefer Caesarism in our time.’”

/ And here is NatCon promoting “The Case for Christian Nationalism” as a “tour de force” on its website with a link for purchasing the book. WTF??? nationalconservatism.org/publications/t…

/ The Case for Christian Nationalism (recommended by Yoram Hazony) was published by Canon Press (founded by Christ Church). Christ Church pastor Doug Wilson envisions a republic where “Hindus [and presumably other non-Christians] wld not be able to hold public office.” WTF???

/ More about Doug Wilson.

/

/ More.

/

/

/

/

/

/ More info

/ Doug Wilson’s interest in Yoram Hazony’s Thiel-linked “NatCon” movement dates back to 2021 at the latest. This interview was in July 2021.

/ In June 2022, the “Director of Scholarly Initiatives at the Hale Institute of New Saint Andrews College” — founded by Doug Wilson —signed NatCon’s Statement of Principles. His name? Timon Cline. americanreformer.org/author/timoncl…

/ Remember Timon Cline and how Yoram Hazony gushed over his Christian Nationalism article? Remember how it promoted blasphemy laws and Sabbath laws, etc.?

/ Remember the other guy whose essay was recommended by NatCon leader Yarom Hazony? His name is William Wolfe. He, too signed NatCon’s Statement of Principles in June 2022.

/ Both William Wolfe & Timon Cline have ties to an organization called American Reformer. Timon Cline was hired in October 2022 as an associate editor. americanreformer.org/2023/07/timon-…

/ William Wolfe was a 2022 American Reformer “Cotton Mather Fellow”. americanreformer.org/former-fellows/

/ American Reformer was co-founded by 2020 Claremont Lincoln Fellow Nate Fischer and by 2023 Claremont Lincoln Fellow Josh Abbottoy. americanreformer.org/about/

/ American Reformer’s tax filing for 2022 days that the organizer’s editor and publisher is Chris Buskirk. projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/org…

/ Chris Buskirk and JD Vance are co-founders of the Rockbridge Network, which is backed by Thiel $$$.

/

/

/ Anyway, Buskirk’s involvement with American Reformer (Nate Fischer, Josh Abbottoy) may explain this gathering w/ JD Vance. Santiago Pliego & Joshua Clemans are graduates of New Saint Andrews (founded by Doug Wilson). Fischer employs them thru “New Founding,” which he also runs w/ Josh Abbottoy.

/ I am dying to finish this bc I’ve been researching the sequence of events and connections for weeks. Maybe a month. I’ve lost track. It’s been a nightmare organizing my draft article & I thought this thread might help me. But the thread has now taken much of the day. I may have to finish tomorrow. Thanks for reading!

Okay. I’m jumping ahead of myself. But Project 2025 leader Russ Vought signed the NatCon screed as well.

/ Archiving this because it shows that all of these people signed the NatCon Starement as of June 2022, not later. Helpful for the chronology I’m constructing. europeanconservative.com/articles/comme…

/ Look at this endorsement of Stephen Wolfe’s book The Case for Christian Nationalism. It is truly shocking to see. Again, this is the movement backed by Peter Thiel. JD Vance & Project 2025 leaders are deeply entrenched with it. These people are extremists with a capital E. nationalconservatism.org/publications/t…

/ I should have mentioned at the very start that Yoram Hazony lives in Israel and is a former advisor to Netanyahu. He doesn’t even live in the US. publishersweekly.com/pw/authorpage/…
