Party members and officials are more economically right-wing than their voters, while being more socially left-wing.
To be more specific, here are how the economic values line up.

This makes me wonder: Does this relationship hold up in Britain?
Does Britain have an America-like split where conservative party members and officials are smarter than liberal party members and officials, but the voters are swapped?
Much to think about.
