🚨 We need to talk about Kevin🚨
Kevin McNamee is up for reelection for @CityofTO Council and we have some concerns that need to be archived.

Back in early 2022, as part of the racist white lives matter initiative, white supremacists, national socialists, and neo nazis held banner demonstrations over the 101 in Newbury Park.

3/
There was a large public outcry and CVA shared our research about the groups responsible and warned they were here to recruit young people into their racist and fascist “active clubs” and hate groups.
4/
Two things resulted after hate groups demonstrated in our city:
1) Volunteer activists organized, networked, and began an ongoing effort to counter hate groups using a diversity of tactics.
2) The @CityofTO adopted an (symbolic and vital) anti-hate resolution.
5/
Kevin McName was the only abstaining vote on the anti-hate resolution. He claimed “free speech” even though the resolution did not attempt to restrict freedom of speech. Later, when scrutinized, Kevin claimed to abstain because City Attorneys had not reviewed the resolution.
6/
Kevin’s advice was ignore white power gangs recruiting here. He criticized the anti-hate resolution and promoted the disproven idea that if we ignore them they’ll leave. As we know, only a unified, multi-front, active, community-wide resistance works. archive.org/details/40ways…
7/
Kevin McNamee decided it was a bad idea for the City of Thousand Oaks to take an official stand against hate. He had an opportunity to show youth and vulnerable members of our community that we are unified against white supremacy and racism.
He abstained.
8/
Even more pathetic than his abstaining and excuses was the fact that @votemcnamee used his time during the @CityofTO meeting to deny racism existed in the Conejo Valley while minimizing the experiences of BIPOC members of our community who courageously shared.
9/
Kevin’s argument against the resolution in 2022 was that white supremacists recruiting here and community members’ stories of racism do not matter because he does not experience or see racism personally. And he’s, “proud of my city.”
10/
Our research from the early 2022 banner drop recruitment demonstrations has since revealed some of the nazis that demonstrated here are members of a national socialist skinhead gang called clockwork crew.
11/
Activists and antifascists have prioritized monitoring individuals and groups who target our community with hate, or attempt to demonstrate here for the purpose of intimidation or recruitment. Clockwork Crew is still very active in Southern California.
12/
(CW-vile antisemitism) On August 27, 2024, a member of Clockwork Crew was interviewed on a live stream. He first agreed with the stream host about “bringing back the holocaust” and they talked about “huge piles of Jews” and “Leaving them in the bottom of a well.”
13/
The clockwork crew member then revealed that following a recent nazi banner demonstration in Santa Barbara, three clockwork crew members groomed a group of teen boys at a gas station and showed them how to connect with nazi content online. “They will never forget it.” 🙉👇
14/
Clockwork crew capitalized on an opportunity to share a message of hate with impressionable youths in Santa Barbara. And here in the Conejo Valley in 2022, Kevin McNamee refused the opportunity to tell those same nazis that our community is unified against racism and hate.
15/
Before he failed the anti hate resolution, Kevin McNamee was online amplifying racist talking points. In 2021, he “liked” this accusation of “systemic anti-white racism.” In 2022, white lives matter nazis were in Newbury Park spouting the exact same horseshit.👇
16/
Kevin McNamee historically only supports other, far-right extremist candidates like Lori Mills(lost), Karen Meyers(lost), Halla Maher(lost, running again), and Tim McCarthy(lost). Search any of those names from our homepage if you are unfamiliar with our past research.
17/
And we’re not surprised. Kevin let us all know who he was when he abstained. In 2023 he also aligned himself with the anti-LGBTQI+ proud boy-affialiated group LOKA as they promoted hate propaganda and committed violence around fabricated public school conspiracies.
18/
And Kevin has been deeply embedded and allied with other anti-public education groups and activists who attempt to destroy public schools for providing inclusion for LGBTQI+ and BIPOC kids. Here he is sharing a stage with Transphobic rage baby Adam Vena.
19/
Kevin was also with Adam Vena, mom army, and violent anti-LGBTQI+ school board meeting agitator Manuk Gorgoryan at a AV Parents for Education event. He was also at the table at a similar event (TBC) next to Manuk Grigoryan.
20/
Adam Vena has also been boosting Kevin's CEO Act on his podcast, revealing ties with extremist groups in SoCal. Want the full story on the CEO Act?
21/
We see Kevin McNamee hiding behind a mask of a normal, reasonable, candidate. He even regularly sets up a popup at local shopping centers for folksy chats with the people. We are not fooled for one second. We see him clearly for what he is. And now he’s running again.
22/
As Kevin runs for reelection, we see him again aligning with extremists. This cycle it’s @Frank13Enderle who we recently proved shared abhorrent twittter content mocking victims of sexual assault and spreading extremist hate rhetoric against LGBTQI+ people and Immigrants.s
23/
There’s some people who may believe “Kevin’s not that bad” as a @CityofTO council member. But that should never be an excuse for what he really represents.
24/
What matters more than any mundane vote or spoken platitude should be his true character and intentions. He has demonstrated racism, failed to oppose nazis, promoted only extremist candidates, and is actively working with others to undermine our @ConejoValleyUSD schools.
25/25
Kevin has got to go!
