FUN FACT: Each of us who support Kamala are de facto surrogates for her campaign. So we have to have the talking points at the ready to answer questions or criticism about her or her campaign. So here are a few at the ready:
1) She didn’t pass any great things as VP:
Answer: The hell she didn’t, every dime that’s been invested in infrastructure, the money you got for COVID relief, the CHIPS act, the PACT act that is helping thousands of veterans, all of them required her input and her tie-breaking vote. But since 2022, Biden and Kamala have
had to deal with a dysfunctional GOP House obsessed with a pointless impeachment of Biden to even the score. Also, the POTUS & VP don’t write or pass legislation. They can present ideas & negotiate. That’s why it’s critical that we get Dems in control of the House & Senate.
2) She has no policies.
Answer: Nonsense. Protecting women’s bodily autonomy is a POLICY. Supporting Ukraine is a POLICY. Banning assault weapons is a POLICY.
3) She has no specific policies to help the economy.
Answer: Again nonsense. The economy is doing great, it’s working class people who are struggling. Her ideas to help them are:
-25K for first time home buyers
-50K for starting up a new business
-6K for new parents
-3K per kid for families with children
-$15 minimum wage
- 3 million new homes to be built
-Opening up thousands of gov jobs to people without college degrees
-caps on drug prices
-policy to restrain price gouging on groceries and gas
-protecting Social Security and Medicare
-prohibiting medical debt from affecting access to credit
-blocking hedge funds from buying up residential property to drive up rental prices.
4) I don’t believe in abortion.
Answer; Cool. Don’t have one. But by voting to restrict abortion, you are voting to let government control and criminalize women, their bodily functions,
their privacy, their freedom to travel, and their rights to determine when and how they want to have babies. Once you give that to the government, it has rights to step into every family to tell them what to do, including yours.
5) She was the border Tzar and she failed.
We have to close the border.
Answer: There is no such thing as a closed border. It’s a fantasy that Trump promised like the rest of his over simplified slogans that are basically lies.
Kamala was never given the task to close the border. She was asked to head up an effort
to reduce the incentive for migrants to cross illegally, which she succeeded in, seeing as how illegal border crossings are way down.
Kamala clearly stated that she would sign the GOP-led border deal that Trump cannexed. That’s a big deal! What’s Trump’s idea?
But also, and this is important, America NEEDS immigrants to survive. We are not making enough babies to sustain our economic model, and immigration is a key component to our labor market. Be careful which you ask for. If you get it, you might just tank the economy.
5) Kamala slept her way to the top:
Answer: Are you suggesting that she slept with the 50 million or so Californians who voted for her as DA, AG and Senator? Because I have yet to see anyone prove that claim.
Only one candidate claimed that fucking around was his personal
Vietnam (since he dodged the real one 5 times). So if promiscuity is an issue for you, Trump can’t be your guy.
More importantly, in no election has Kamala’s personal behavior ever been an issue of any kind. Can you say the same for the other guy? Hell, as we speak he is
likely cheating on Melania with Laura Looney. If sex life is an issue, why doesn’t his bother you?
BE BOLD and ready to speak on the issues. The GOP doesn’t have shit to say about anything because it is all written down in Project 2025 & it is all HORRIFYING!
