Funny that macho is considered to be masculine but more so. After much time in third world, I think they are near antonyms.
Touchiness, desire for adoration, reactivity...these are feminine traits.
Probably phlegmatic is closer to a synonym for masculine
I was put in mind of this by the topic of academic malfeasance, which I think is not racial per se but gendered. Even good women will fib as a courtesy, almost as act of compassion, & it's the same guileless lability you find everywhere in 3rd world
Anyway, macho and masculine have counterparts in violent and martial. The latter can scale to empire and to scientific revolution when composed of autists weirdly wedded to truth.
Back to academic fraud, I think it's like trans: two different etiologies. The dudes who do it are creeps. The girls who do it are just Doing A Science. We did every step on the science checklist, nobody wants there not to be a science at the end, right??
