First, breaking news, from #KryvyiRih

Though it may have not have sounded much, this blast was a 5-storey building being hit in the last hour.
Governor Serhiy Lysak says information about victims is being ascertained.

As I wrote near the end of yesterday's thread, #Mykolaiv (RU: #Nikolaev) suffered a devastating multi-drone attack.

Five more innocent people were killed by #Russia's actions, hitting an apartment block as well as private houses.

When the drone hit the upper floors of the apartment block in #Mykolaiv, a fire broke out.
One man was killed here.

Across the city, #Russia's attack drones demolished a private house, killing 3 women and a man.

One other person was injured.

During the night attack, #Russia launched 2 missiles and 74 kamikaze drones.

#Ukraine's air defence shot down both missiles and 39 UAVs.
30 more were stopped by EW and another 3 veered off course to #Russia and occupied parts of Ukraine.

#Russia has closed the local Gagarin airport.
It's not known if there is any damage in the region, where the Engels air base can also be found.

#Ukraine Intel claims it's burned an Mi-24 attack helicopter in #Russia.

It says it happened the previous night at the #Klin-5 military airfield just outside #Moscow.

The helicopter was part of the 92nd squadron, used to retrain aircrew of the army aviation forces.

#Russia had 24 hours to prepare its media response to the loss of its helicopter in #Moscow, and responded by saying it thwarted a "hijack" attempt on a helicopter in occupied #Ukraine

The FSB accused "British curators" of organising the "failed operation" to recruit a 🇷🇺pilot.

The strike on #Zaporizhzhia last night is now known to have injured 22 people.

Four injuries reported so far, there may be more people trapped under rubble after #Russia's strike this morning.

#Russia claims to have shot down 2 missiles over #Kursk region.

Meanwhile Moscow says 3 workers at "Tavriya Energo" have been injured in shelling of the occupied part of #Zaporizhzhia.

Three separate rockets landed in the town and there are some injuries.

Kurakhiv leader Roman Padun says they can't inspect the damage due to constant shelling. But water levels have risen 1.2m & reports some villages are starting to flood.

In 2023 #Russia destroyed the Kakhovka dam

It's two years to the day that #Ukraine managed to liberate #Kherson from the fascist invaders, amid scenes of utter joy.

Kherson remains the only regional capital captured during the full invasion and #Russia held it under 9 months.

A 16-year-old boy in #Bilenky village was injured when #Russia attacked #Kramatorsk this afternoon.

Private houses, an administrative building, and an infrastructure object were damaged according to #Ukraine officials in the town.

This is the moment of one of the 3 blasts.

#Russia is still bleating on about the NordStream attacks. Nikolai Patrushev says only the UK or US could have bombed the pipeline.

Why is the Kremlin suddenly returning to this story? To try to divide allies, particularly hoping to influence Germany's forthcoming elections.

More from #Kramatorsk in free #Donetsk that was badly hit by rockets a couple of hours ago.

It's now believed four warheads exploded. At the moment, still only one injury reported, a 16 year old boy.

#Russia claims to have shot down another 2 drones over #Kursk region in the last hour or so.

They reckon 14 of #Ukraine's UAVs have been stopped by their air defence in that region alone, today.

More big and sustained support for #Ukraine.

It's absolutely vital Ukrainians are not railroaded into an unjust "peace" - it's not fair on millions of them to see their country ripped apart and it sets a precedent that the west rewards aggression.

#Russia has done its best to ensure there is no celebration of liberty in #Kherson.

On the second anniversary of being ousted, the invaders shelled the Ship (Korabelny) district causing fires to break out and now drones are also attacking.

25 drones are flying over #Ukraine at the moment. Quite a few other of #Russia's weapons have already been stopped.

Well it's been a very busy night already for air defenders in #Ukraine, but so far without serious incident as far as I can tell.

Some alarms in the regions have begun to be turned off, but with 20+ drones still flying this is often a short respite.

By the way, there's been virtually no update about the earlier missile strikes on #Kharkiv.

All the city authorities have said is a mains pipeline was damaged. No word on injuries and no photos allowed, which, I have to say, is always suspicious.

#Ukraine's hit another of #Russia's oil depots.
This time drones attacked a plant in the #Belgorod' region.

The governor admits the strike on the depot in #Starooskolsky. However he claims only 1 tank caught fire and "crews quickly extinguished the fire" without casualties."
