These Bheemtas come up with fantasies everyday & Hindus who forgot their own Iconography cannot defend such nonsense. There is a great need for the present kids to know "Hindu Iconography" & that's what we are doing at @brhat_in
Lets uncover the truth behind these 9 pictures.
First - Even before buddhism was born great Scholars like Yaska & Saunaka were interpreting Hindu Gods from Rigveda in Niruktam & Brhad Devata.
In fact Yaskacharya has a part dedicated to Hindu Gods called "Daivata Kanda"
@ReclaimTemples @punarutthana @LostTemple7
1. Buddha under the shade of Mucchalinda. But @scribe_it will you please explain why he has "7 Hoods" & "3 coils" at the seat? What has 7 & 3 got to do with Mucchalinda?
2. The picture you shared is of Ambika Sasana Devata of Neminatha, revered in Jainism. She is with her consort "Sarvana". What does Ambika have to do with Buddhism?
3. This is goddess Hariti. A goddess appropriated into Buddhism later. What does Hariti mean? The oldest Hariti murti dates back to the 1st century BCE. During the same time, Trishula can be seen on the coins of Audhumbaras too, who were worshippers of Shiva.
4. Again ambika. This is the second picture you are claiming to be buddhist but belongs to Jainism.
5. Showing a home decor buddha and claiming it to be ancient is not dignity. Show me one reclining Buddha in the pose you have shown at least from the Gupta era?
6. This is Amithabha, a Bodhisatva, his vahana is a peacock. Now do you know what it means here? While Amithabha itself is a later creation, can you show me a sculpture of Amithbha predating kartikeya?
7. You shared is most probably the Bimbisara bowing to Buddha. Now tell me how many pages are dedicated to Bimbisara in Buddhist literature or is there any epic on Bimbisara like we have an epic Ramayana where Hanuman plays a great role. Who inspired whom?
8. This is one of the 26 Bodhisatvas from the Hoshokan museum of Byodoin temple, Japan. You selectively chose the flute one and pending the propaganda. Why? Tell me either Japan influenced Indian Iconography or Vice-versa? I leave it to you.
9. Showing the chola Bronze of "Kaliya Mardana" of Sri Krishna and claiming it to be buddhist? Have some shame man.
As a Hindu I know more about Buddhism than you Bheemtas can ever imagine. Because, you are all Hinduphobic. Try reading real history of Buddha.
Mark my words - "Bheemtas" have done more damage to Buddhism than islamic invaders. Bheemtas will hit the final nail in Buddhism.
