A 14-year-old Jewish student, Shaked Tsurkan, is beaten bloody in Fredericton by a 16-year-old schoolmate. Tsurkan had been the target of schoolmates since October 7.
The video of her attack went viral on May 15. Police finally arrested the alleged attacker on May 16.

A community of 300 people walk a Jewish boy to school in Toronto. Since October 7, he had been bullied, had rocks thrown at him, and received death threats from schoolmates.

At 4:52 a.m. gunshots are fired (the first of three such incidents) at Bais Chaya Mushka, a Jewish school in Toronto for girls aged 4 to 14.
At 8:30 p.m. the Prime Minister posts 250 characters to X, and as if he’s Crime Stoppers notes, “I encourage anyone with information about this incident to share it with Toronto Police.”
(Not a single Liberal MP came to the rally to support the young girls’ school. The local Liberal MP, Ya’ara Saks, lives only five minutes away.)

Hours after five rounds of gunfire hit that Jewish school, a “Globalize the Intifada” rally takes place in downtown Toronto. A speech by Hamas spokesman Abu Obaida blares over loudspeakers. “It is jihad, victory, or martyrdom.” Not the kind of words typically heard at a public speech in Canada, where sermons by proscribed terrorist groups are illegal. To date, no criminal charges have been laid.

A terror-glorifying rally in Vancouver. Staunch terror supporter Khaled Barakat incites a large mob with his “LONG LIVE OCTOBER 7” speech. His wife, Charlotte Kates, is the director of terror group Samidoun. A few weeks earlier, she was arrested after a video went viral, in which she praised October 7.

The second Jewish school, in less than a week, is hit by gunfire: Yeshiva Ketana, located in a Montreal suburb.

The third attack on a Jewish institution in a week: a firebombing at Vancouver synagogue Schara Tzedeck in Liberal MP Taleeb Noormohamed’s district of Vancouver-Granville.
Prime Minister posts 187 characters to X. Each one characterless. “This is not the Canada we want to be,” caps it off.
(But the more interesting post to X came from MP Noormohamed three days prior to the synagogue firebombing. The MP, who has been consistently outspoken against Israel since October 7, publicly denounced Israel yet again.)
