🚨 Victor Davis Hanson just revealed the real reason Trump’s enemies are spiraling.

1. The polls are a lie.

2. The Democrats have no backup plan.

They’re trapped on a sinking ship—and they know it.

Then VDH names the one weapon they’re still clinging to.

And suddenly, everything makes sense.

VDH just exposed the left’s crumbling playbook to take down Trump.

You’ll want to keep these points handy the next time the media tries to spin the narrative.

Roll the clips…

Victor Davis Hanson didn’t waste any time.

He opened with a bombshell—and then spent the rest of the segment showing his work.

He said the polls weren’t just off about Trump. They were being used to manipulate the public.

For weeks, headlines have screamed that Trump is trailing by four or five points. But Hanson wasn’t buying it. He pointed to polling from Rasmussen and even Democrat Mark Penn that showed the race was actually neck and neck.

Then he zeroed in on a New York Times poll. The headline claimed Trump was way behind, but only 37% of respondents had voted for him in 2024.

That, Hanson said, made no sense.

“Don’t you think it should have been—I don’t know—51, 49%?” he asked.

It wasn’t an isolated problem. The Washington Post polled over 2,000 people—but only 840 were Trump voters. That’s not even close to a representative sample.

Hanson laid out the pattern.

“In 2016, the polls were completely wrong. In 2020, they overestimated Biden’s strength by 4 or 5 points. And even in 2024, NPR had Kamala Harris winning by four points.”

He brought up one of the worst misses in recent memory: “The Des Moines Register had Iowa lost to Trump by three points. He won it by 12.”

So what’s going on?

Hanson didn’t chalk it up to bad methodology. He called it strategy.

“The pollsters are trying to create momentum, fundraising, and jazz up opposition,” he said.

These polls weren’t designed to measure public opinion—they were designed to shape it.

Then he turned to the media. And according to Hanson, they’re not just biased—they’re part of the machine and they’re in shambles.

“Then we turn to the media,” he said.

“The media is in a fight with the Democratic left now because of the scandal of Joe Biden.”

He described a quiet blame game behind the scenes. Democrats were accusing the press of covering up Biden’s mental decline, while journalists were firing back, saying they never had real access to begin with.

“The Democratic left is saying, well, you were a journalist. If you thought he was demented or cognitively challenged, why didn’t you report it?” Hanson explained. “But the journalists are saying we couldn’t get close to him. He looked okay for us because you had him in such a guarded environment. In truth, they’re both guilty.”

He pointed to the White House briefings as proof. “Do you remember those press conferences by Karine Jean-Pierre?” he asked.

“Did anyone ever hear one—one—question on those daily or 3 or 4 times a week press conferences, ‘Ms. Jean-Pierre, is Joe Biden cognitively able to navigate himself to the podium? What is the nature of his cue cards? Have you had a Montreal cognitive assessment of him?’ There was nothing.”

In Hanson’s view, it wasn’t just political shielding—it was full cooperation.

“It was a combination of the Democratic Party, the Biden insider, and the media.”

And something else had shifted. Hanson said that in the absence of real leadership, the press had taken on a new role.

“Very quickly, the media has gained a lot of influence and power in the opposition because there is no opposition in the Democratic Party,” he said.

Then VDH named the last weapon the media has against Trump:

“So in lieu of an alternate agenda, the media has taken it upon themselves to use the only strategy that the Democratic Party can come up with—and that is to attack Donald Trump.”

Now, back to the story you came for.

But for Hanson, the real crisis isn’t just the media or the polls. It’s the vacuum inside the Democratic Party itself.

It is a powerless wasteland without any rising talent.

“They have boxed themselves in,” he said.

“They have no institutional power, no ability to pass legislation, losing the House and the Senate, no presidency, White House, no executive orders.”

Even legal victories won’t last, he argued, because “all of the cherry-pick district and circuit judges will be overturned by a largely conservative Supreme Court in lieu of actual power.”

With nothing left to govern, you’d expect an alternative—a vision, a plan. But Hanson said there is none.

“Maybe the alternative is a 1994 Newt Gingrich contract with America,” he said.

“An alternate agenda? Yes, we can do better on the border than you can. Yes, we have a better foreign policy with Iran.”

But when he looked for that, he saw only emptiness.

“There’s nothing. There’s no shadow government. There’s not a young Bill Clinton ascendant. There’s no young Barack. There’s nobody.”

“There’s no leaders. There’s no agenda. Nothing.”

“It’s nihilism.”

And then he asked the final question that blows the whole thing apart.

What exactly are Democrats trying to go back to?

“Do they have a good old days?” he asked.

“Can they say Donald Trump ruined things? They were so good under Biden. The border, we liked it open. 12 million, we could have got 20 million illegal aliens. Let’s go back to that. We had a wonderful retreat from Afghanistan! Picture perfect. We can do it again.”

He kept going.

“The theater war in Ukraine and Iran—that wasn’t our fault. Maybe it was inevitable. We had a really good inflation. We had a little hyperinflation of 9%.”

And then came the conclusion—the part that stuck.

“There is no alternative good old days. They can’t say Donald Trump wrecked something because they had wrecked the country.”

So what’s left? The final petty card the Democrats have in their pockets.

“We’re left with Donald Trump wore a blue suit at the Vatican funeral. Donald Trump is a fascist. No. According to Governor Pritzker, he a Nazi. No. According to Al Gore, he is a Nazi.”

“No, according to members of the Congress, is he deserving a polite conversation when you have to use the F-word? Or maybe it’s the S-H-I word.”

No glory days. No leadership. No credibility.

Just name-calling—and it will continue to remain powerless.
