The American left is embracing race communism of the sort that destroyed South Africa + Rhodesia

Mayor Johnson's spewed absurdities are, essentially, the same inane nonsense the African communists pushed before destroying their countries

In South Africa, Mandela's ANC has long insisted that the white farmers "stole" the land from blacks, and thus it needs to be "returned" to them

Much the same was true of Mugabe's thuggery in Zimbabwe, where he and his cronies insisted that "land reform" (farmland expropriation) was a necessity because the white farmers had "stolen" the land when they founded Rhodesia

In every case, it was absurd: the supposed "thieves" built everything that existed, they didn't steal it

South Africa is a great example. When the progenitors of the Afrikaners arrived in 1654, they found a nearly uninhabited land, and those few Khoisan there were roving pastoralists who had settled nothing. The Afrikaners then built South Africa from the ground up, turning an untamed wilderness into a thriving colony with hugely successful farms. They gradually marched to the north and west, settling the land as they went and eventually finding the Xhosa and Zulu, both of whom arrived in what's now South Africa from the north well after the Afrikaners did. Once again, it was the Afrikaners who built civilization, with their labor and hands, in that mostly untamed land. Over the mid-19th to mid-20th century, Anglo settlers and capital poured in as well, helping build civilization where none had formerly existed in South Africa

Rhodesia was much the same thing. The British South Africa Company did, admittedly, find the Matabele and Shona in what became Rhodesia when settling the territory began. But agriculture was limited. No cities, roads, railroads, or the like existed. Populations were limited and sparse. Anglos then poured in and settled it, turning veldt into farms, building cities on open land, and gradually raising civilization on land where little formerly existed. Further, what land the BSAC obtained, the land on which civilization was built, was bought from the Matabele, not "stolen."

In each case, then, the wealth that now exists, or at least existed before the destruction of everything that decolonization brought with it, was not "stolen"

That wealth was built. Modern agriculture had to be brought across the ocean and implemented. Rail tracks had to be laid. The steel, stone, concrete, and bricks of cities had to be made and then used in line with the principles of modern architecture. The asphalt roads were laid where none existed, the power plants and electrical transmission lines raised in lands that formerly had never seen candles, and sterling pounds-denominated investments poured in by the millions from across the seas the natives, if any were indeed native to the settled territories (most weren't) could never dream of traveling

It was from that work that the wealth was built. It wasn't stolen, appropriated, or otherwise taken from the natives, but rather wealth was built on the land they never dreamed of using for such purposes

While I tend to focus on agriculture, the Rand mines of South Africa are a great example of this

Those billions of dollars worth of gold - enough to solve America's gold vs. silver fight - had long sat below the ground, there for the taking if any of the various tribes that tromped over the dirt had thought to extract them. They didn't.

Instead, the South Africans did. And so the mine pits were sunk, the rail tracks laid to the foot of the mines, British engineers and Chinese laborers brought in, and untold riches were extracted by the cartful. The wealth of those mines wasn't "stolen"; no one had previously thought of exploiting it. Rather, it was built by those with the foresight and will to do so

But that truth was ignored as decolonization set in and Soviet, CCP and American-backed communists gained power

Mugabe is representative. He alleged that all the wealth of the white farmers, men so successful as to turn formerly unsettled land into a vast agricultural produce exporter, had been stolen. So he "took the farms back" and handed them to the blacks from whom they were supposedly stolen. Ditto that for the factories, the mines, and all the other forms of wealth the settlers had built

Wealth doesn't exist in a vacuum, however, but rather requires a steady hand to preserve and grow it. And so all of what had been wealth that was handed to the natives from whom it was supposedly "stolen" and "taken" was destroyed, with output plummeting by 60-80% and famine gripping what was once the breadbasket of Africa

South Africa, the last holdout of the old colonial order, is increasingly another example of to where this lead

The government is now expropriating land in the Mugabeite fashion, but has done much else as well

For example, "Black Economic Empowerment" laws require the handing of partial ownership in businesses to black South Africans for no reason other than that they are black. That has lead to an increasingly dysfunctional economy

Similarly, white taxpayers pay around 80% of the country's taxes. Increasingly burdened by that, they support a 7:1 welfare recipient to taxpayer ratio. Yes, there are 7 welfare grantees for every single taxpayer to support. That has increasingly meant disaster for the country as it finds itself unable to support itself

And so you get disasters like the one below, where those handed what used to be wealth destroy it because they care not about preserving it, much less growing it

And, of course, the rhetoric leads to violence

South Africa is, sadly, a great example of this

The farm murders are not only stomach-churning in their details, but go unsolved and even uninvestigated by the government: 95% are never solved, as my friend @k9_reaper has drawn attention to

Turns out, telling the mob that whites stole from it leads to violence against whites, which was always the point

That happened in the Congo, happened in Zimbabwe, and is happening on horrific scale in South Africa

That, in turn, leads back to Chicago and the American race communism situation generally

Here, things are of course not as bad as in Africa. But the seedlings are there. We have DEI and affirmative action instead of BEE; it's less harsh, but similar.

Crime is rising, and goes unsolved and uncared about by the police: only 33% of homicides in Kansas City even make it to trial, for example

That crime is often racial, and pushed on by the rhetoric spewed by those of the Brandon Johnson mold who claim white Americans are responsible for all the ills of black Americans

Even when the criminals are caught, they go unpunished if the races are right

And while crime is notably similar to the South African situation, if still somewhat more avoidable, the economic situation is increasingly similar as well

For one, there are all the demands for "reparations" of the sort seen in the clip below, which are just race-based redistribution of capital of the sort seen in South African or Zimbabwean land expropriation.

But there's also the welfare-based theft of the sort seen in South Africa's welfare situation. Look into the PPP fraud, for example

And as the horrid crime and all the rest continues, the government aids and abets it

In South Africa, they have the EFF chanting "Kill the Boer"

In America, we have the DOJ's detestable Community Relations Service, as discussed by REN below

Thoughout it all, we're attacked with the same sort of claims that whites "stole" what wealth they have, the wealth that exists in America

The treaties with Indians are presented as "theft." The suffering of Jamestown and Plymouth, and all the colonies that extended from them, are ignored. The backbreaking work of the Midwest farms, railroads, industrialization, and so on are ignored

It's just the same claim that whatever America built was "stolen," much as what the Afrikaners and Anglos did to settle South Africa and Rhodesia is ignored

In short, the South Africanization of America is marching onwards, and is encouraged by the same slanders

That's lie here as it is there, but it is pushed for the same reasons, namely hate and envy, and will lead to the same results if left unchecked

This is also why they're so mad about the Afrikaner refugees

They stand as a testament to where race communism leads, and those typically in favor of refugees are in favor of race communism and don't want to stop South Africanization, hence their anger
