The amount of harm and death this vaccine could cause is immense. This vaccine is has the potential to open Pandora’s box and collapse civilization as we know it. 9/16 As for the gain of function work he has done, it is important to note that in 1997 Taubenberger extracted tissues from them and was able to resurrect the 1918 influenza strain. He then supposedly participated in experiments splices genes from the 1918 flu strain with more contemporary H1N1 viruses, however very little information on this topic is available in the public domain and is considered by many to be speculation.

Taubenberger’s work on the strain is partly what has spawned developments of this universal vaccine. Rumor has it his work on the 1918 strain and its sequencing is what lead to advancements allowing for universal respiratory vaccines.
