The process is called angiogenesis.

These 5 foods systematically block their growth: 
1.  Green tea

This polyphenol travels to microscopic tumors throughout your body.
It lowers colorectal cancer risk, particularly in women. 
2.  Apples
Eating 2 per day lowers lung and colon cancer risk.
The secret is quercetin, concentrated in the skin.
This compound doesn't just block one blood vessel.
It systematically starves the tumor's entire supply network. 
3.  Soy
Greek researcher Ted Fotsis found genistein in the urine of Japanese villagers who ate mostly soy.
