Hello again, on Day 1346 of the war.
Russia's genocidal war, that's both the intent and the reality as Ukraine fights to keep not only democracy, independence and freedom but also to avoid its culture and language being eradicated.

This is THE daily thread. Happy Hallowe'en

Due to various different events, I am still awake & instead of adding to y'day's thread, I thought it best to start a new one, then get some sleep.

First, the link for Thursday's🧵which started with Russia's mass missile attack but ended with🇺🇦 attacking

A quick reminder the first serious blow struck by Ukraine's long range weapons, came in Oryol.

A power plant was struck, though Russia told its people it was only drone debris (again)

The next arrival of note in Russia happened in the Vladimir region.

Here there were two strikes on a substation well documented by locals who helped spread the word that Putin's war is coming home.

The target in Vladimir region is one of the biggest substations in all of Europe

The Vladimirskaya 750kV is a crucial part of Russia's energy structure, supplying power to Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod + parts of Ivanovo regions, distributing power from the Kalinin nuclear plant.

The next action inside Russia came from Yaroslavl.

Multiple explosions were heard, though it's not known what was hit. The target may have been the Slavneft-Yanos oil refinery, but Astra says the blasts were heard in the Neftestroy area, several km from the refinery.

The regional governor in Yaroslavl says the necessary "a big drone attack was repelled" without damage or injury... but warns to watch out for debris.

Locals are not convinced after hearing this multiple times.

Russia lost almost 1,000 more soldiers in the last 24 hours, but generally figures remain quite low.

Yet still, over 100 vehicles and almost 40 armoured personnel vehicles and/or combat vehicles.

A new video has been posted from Russia's Vladimir region. This proves there were two separate hits on the electrical substation.

Power went out in the region as Ukraine's "debris" continues its amazing accuracy!

Ukraine's rail industry has been targeted again by Russia overnight.

The passenger depot was attacked in Sumy. It's reported rolling stock has been damaged and destruction of some of Ukrzaliznytsia's buildings.

Meanwhile in Kharkiv region, a drone hit railway infrastructure in Lozova.

The train company says no-one was hurt as all employees took shelter, but service No. 228/227 Husarivka - Ivano-Frankivsk has an altered route.

At least 6 people were injured in strikes on people's homes in Sumy region.

Last night I wrote of the drone strike on a block of flats (pic1) which injured 4.

Later drones also hit critical infrastructure and houses in the Kovpakiv district, injuring two more civilians there.

In Kramatorsk, this morning, photos have been released of the impact site where an 82 year old woman was killed by Russia.

Yesterday evening I showed the drone smashing into the city, which is near the frontline in free Donetsk region.

No further updates so I will finally get some sleep. I'll be back in 4-5 hours I guess.
