The Edge founder John Brockman was lauded for his "discerning taste in the choice of participants." Funny how the photos he posted - the same as in the Epstein files - highlight so many luminaries but leave out convicted felon & registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. 2/
The NYT imperiously dismissed the issue, declaring Brooks must of course dine with "noted and important business leaders". But details aren't hard to find. The Silicon Valley pantheon was there: Musk, Bezos, Brin, Mayer, Wojcicki, Mundie, Myhrvold... 3/

Epstein had a long relationship with Brockman: he funded the dinners and seminars that brought in academics and plutocrats, used them to gain entry to the "intellectual boys' club". Guess David Brooks was a member of that club too. 4/

BuzzFeed found Epstein at three of Brockman's dinners, starting in 1999, and his associate Sarah Kellen at two more; Brockman then removed photos and references. Brockman, who was in Epstein's "Black Book" and dined at Epstein's mansion, seems to have something to hide. 5/
BuzzFeed reported in 2019 that Epstein and David Brooks both attended Brockman's gala: they caught Epstein in the background of a photo. So six years ago, NYT should have known Brooks was socializing with Epstein. For shame. 6/

Last month, the NYT let Brooks write an op-ed telling people to move on from Epstein, mocking claims of a "sex-abuse ring", defending his pals: "I know a thing or two about the American elite..the phrase 'the Epstein class' is inaccurate, unfair and irresponsible." Guess not. 8/
Adding: Yahoo Finance also reported in 2019 that Epstein was at the 2011 Billionaire's Dinner - and that his dinner pals had scrubbed mention of him from websites. The Epstein class were fine with dining with a child sex predator, just tried to keep it from the public. 9/
And for the record, here's the new drop of Epstein files from the House Oversight Dems, that includes the 2011 dinner photos. Epstein must have felt warmly about the event; he'd kept copies of Nathan Myrhvold's photos. A mutual love-fest for the elite. 10/
