I want to commend this post, because it is what I have been trying unsuccessfully to get across for decades. Up until the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, climate change had been treated, as only part of a much bigger ecological crisis. The big picture.

The reason climate change was separated from the test of the ecological crisis, was it was wrongly thought that there would be a quick agreement, on phasing out fossil fuels, as had happened, with CFCs causing the hole in the ozone layer, at the Montreal Protocol in 1987.

However, with hindsight, it has become clear, that plotting politicians only did this, at the behest of fossil fuel companies, to they could invent climate change denial, which never existed, in 1992, then to falsely claim that the only problem was climate change.

The reason for only want to focus on climate change, was because:
1) It is easier to deny with false information.
2) The can pretend there are techno-fixes for climate change, which will never work at scale.

You see there are no techno-fixes for biodiversity and ecological collapse, ecological overshoot, which would actually be made worse, even if climate techno-fixes, could be implemented.

You see, the only fix for ecological overshoot, is the ending of Business as Usual BaU, and massive system change. But mainstream politicians, who are working for big corporations and billionaires, didn't want to end BaU.

They came up with a clever ploy, to pretend that they were going to address the climate crisis, but just keep saying not yet, and then with filibuster type tactics, just talk until they ran out of time at each COP talks.

In the mean time, they could gaslight the public into believing that the rest of the ecological crisis never existed, and that they fix the climate crisis with techno-fixes, even though they won't work at scale.

The massive multi-decade cover-up of Jeffrey Epstein's oligarch paedophile ring, is nothing to the even bigger cover up by the same oligarchs, of ecological overshoot. They employed the same methods, and it also involves Donald Trump.

The recent "National security assessment on global ecosystems" essentially by the UK intelligence services, essentially says we face an immediate global emergency as biodiversity and ecological collapse, throws the world into chaos.

The climate crisis and the ecological crisis, isn't the same as anthropogenic climate change, and biodiversity collapse. Rather it is a crisis, because governments knew what the problem and the solutions were over 35 years ago, then did nothing. That's the crisis, not acting.

You see, 34 years ago, we naively believed that governments were there to represent the people and protect us. Whereas time has proven, actually governments are there to protect the very rich, billionaires, and corporations.
