While Epstein didn't seem to be very bright with language or mathematics, I'm starting to think of him as an idiot savant concerning SYSTEMS.
He could see the systems in place, and plan how to work with them, or subvert them. And he could anticipate adversaries' plans to
understand, penetrate, and subvert his plans.
By hovering above the chessboard, he could casually see all, and lull/deceive all adversaries down false pathways. And with a few phone calls, neutralize any person/organization by having his colleagues wrap a web around them.
I'm thinking of Reilly, the Ace of Spies. He was working with British Intelligence in 1917/18 to try to stop the Bolshevik Revolution.
What nobody knew was that Reilly had a plan above their plans. He was using British Intell resources to overthrow the Bolsheviks - but his goal
was to install himself as the next Czar of Russia.
These people think BIG. Like - REALLY fucking Big.
