3) Come 2011, the regime-change war policy shifted to drives to overthrow the Libyan and Syrian governments. In Libya, a brazen deception, involving claims of "humanitarian crisis", was used to trigger NATO military intervention. The country was destroyed and remains unstable to this day.
4) In Syria, the US & its allies initiated a massive covert operation to support extremists aimed at overthrowing the Syrian government. A central component of the propaganda in this case involved false allegations that the Syrian government used chemical weapons. ukcolumn.org/article/homs-2…
