This is the Rock.

He eats 6,000 - 8,000 calories a day and spends over $20,000 a year on food.

His controversial diet has made experts rethink everything about muscle growth and weight gain.

Here's a breakdown of his full-day diet 🧵

The Rock's body is his brand.

From wrestling rings to Hollywood, maintaining his massive physique requires an INSANELY structured diet.

He eats 5 to 7 meals and consumes 6,000- 8,000 calories daily.

Here’s how he fuels himself...

Most people eat 2,000-2,500 calories a day—The Rock eats three times that.

Why?

✔ Strict conditioning for movie roles
✔ Intense workouts (2-3 hours daily) demand serious fuel
✔ Extreme muscle mass requires constant protein intake

Let's get into breakfast ↓

Meal 1: Breakfast

• Buffalo meat (his favorite)
• Cream of rice or oatmeal
• Eggs (whole & egg whites)

Unlike many bodybuilders, The Rock embraces carbs—fueling his morning workouts with slow-digesting grains.

Meals 2-4: Post-Workout & Midday Fuel

• Lean protein (chicken or fish)
• Greens (various vegetables)
• Fast-digesting carbs (white rice or sweet potatoes)

He repeats these meals multiple times daily.

These meals are designed to replenish muscle glycogen after intense training.

Essential amino acids are also great building blocks for physical recovery.

That's why I formulated this supplement with 100% Essential Amino Acids:

Evening Meals: More Protein, More Carbs

By dinnertime, the Rock forces himself to eat cod or salmon—despite hating it.

Omega-3s are great for brain function, heart health, and recovery.

He could replace salmon with mackerel, sardines, or plant-based omega-3 sources like chia and flax seeds.

His protein sources might surprise you:

Eggs, steak, and chicken with vegetables and potatoes...

But wild-caught cod is his secret weapon.

It's his unique combination of buffalo meat, egg whites, and specific Greek yogurt strains that maximize absorption.

Homemade yogurt is my favorite. It's tasty, clean, and a good source of protein.

I created the best-selling probiotic yogurt maker to make TRILLIONS of live probiotics at home.

I use it daily for my gut health:

Before Bed: One Final Meal

To prevent muscle breakdown overnight, The Rock eats:

• Carbs to keep energy stable
• Greens for added micronutrients
• Casein protein (slow-digesting protein)

The Rock’s Legendary Cheat Days

On Sundays, his famous cheat meals include:

✔ Large portions of fries
✔ Dozens of cookies and brownies
✔ Stacks of pancakes or apple fritter French toast
✔ Massive double cheeseburgers with bacon & avocado

These cheat days spike his metabolism and mentally reset his mind.

Why The Rock Has Cheat Days

His daily meals are repetitive—chicken and rice, day after day.

The Rock’s approach follows the classic bodybuilder “refeed” strategy.

A sudden surge of carbs and fats helps replenish muscle glycogen and reset leptin levels (the hormone that regulates hunger).

Does This Diet Work?

For him—yes.

For the average person? Likely not.

The Rock’s diet is designed for someone who:

✔ Works out 2–3 hours daily
✔ Burns thousands of calories per day
✔ Has extreme muscle mass to maintain

What Can You Learn From His Diet?

✔ High protein intake fuels muscle growth
✔ Balanced meals with protein and carbs support recovery

❌ Massive cheat days can lead to binge cycles
❌ Extreme eating requires extreme activity to avoid fat gain

If you’re training like an elite athlete and need extreme calories, maybe.

For the average person?

✅ Get enough protein
✅ Focus on balanced meals
✅ Avoid ultra-processed foods
✅ Stay consistent without extreme binges

Train hard. Eat clean. Sleep well.
