But, the fact is that any such law would both be vetoed by the President and be unconstitutional.
Why should this worry Americans?
1)
1. Because we are seeing congressmen and senators, most of whom are lawyers, advocating a law that violates the Constitution. One might hope that lawyers would know the law and follow the law, and when they do not, one must question their knowledge and expertise.
2)
Perhaps they should be suspended from law practice if they do not understand the Constitution to which they swore their loyalty in an oath.

2. Because it is clear that if the president’s name was Obama or Biden or Clinton and not Trump, these same legislators would not be trying to pass any such law. They are putting their Trump Derangement Syndrome ahead of the issue.

Remember how when Obama bombed Libya, killing its leaders along with as many as 20,000 people, there was no objection from the Democrats, and the consequences have been years of civil war in Libya.

When Clinton bombed Serbia, though it was no threat to anyone else, killing 25,000 Serbs, not a peep from the Democrats. So clearly this is not about what is being done. It is all about Trump."
