Roger Froikin @rlefraim wrote, "And where is justice?

It is now six years that Benjamin Netanyahu has been subject to politically motivated persecution in the form of slanderous accusations formed into legal terms.
1)

Six years ago, when the indictments were handed down, I was sent a copy of all the complaints and allegations. I read them carefully, compared them to reality, and concluded that not one had evidential merit.
2)

When I wrote what my initial reactions were, I was told by some people that Israeli prosecutors had a 95% conviction rate once they issued indictments, and that the legal research record was strong. I could not see how that could possibly be true.
3)

Now six years later, the farce continues. The prosecution has had six years in court on every complaint and has failed to prove anything. Judges have admonished them, some suggesting they drop charges.
4)

Some prosecutors have been exposed trying to subvert the system by threatening witnesses, encouraging perjury, and presenting guesses and opinions of what Netanyahu may have been thinking as if these were facts.
5)

This six years looks more like a Stalinist set of trials, and remember Stalin said Покажите мне человека, и мы найдем преступление (Show me the man, and we will find the crime).
6)

I do not know what is in Bibi Netanyahu’s mind. Neither does anyone. Evidence has to be what someone does, not what you think that person may have thought. I could imagine robbing a bank, but unless you can prove I did, I am innocent of any accusation of bank robbery.
7)

But any fool can see what was happening. The game that was being played could be called, “Accuse Bibi of crimes, claim he should resign from politics for the good of the nation,
8)

while the real reason was so the path is open for the old order of socialists and secularists to reassert their power against the flood of change coming, and they never imagined that Netanyahu would fight rather than surrender.”
9)

So they, and their foreign advisors, who have tried the same tactic in other countries from the USA to Brazil, using false criminal accusations as a political tool, are still trying six years later, & finally, their arrogance is being exposed, at least in Israel and the USA.
10)

There should be a cost for this kind of perversion of justice—to those that initiated it, to those that participated in it, and the cost should be both political and financial.
11)

Perhaps the people of the State of Israel should demand that those who wasted the people’s tax money on pursuing phony politically motivated cases be forced to reimburse the State and the taxpayers for the waste of money.
12)

The solution—ultimately, all those who chose to pervert the justice system need to be dismissed from their positions, prosecuted, and possibly sued for damages."
