Don’t PAY APPLE for extra iCloud storage.
I fixed it in 10 minutes
I freed up 12GB without paying a dollar.
Use these 8 simple steps:
1. Find the Real Storage Hogs
"Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage and check what's using the most space across Photos, Backups, Mail, and Apps."
2. Delete Old iPhone Backups
"In Manage Storage > Backups, delete old device backups from phones you no longer use. Keep only your current device."
3. Optimize Photo Storage
"Settings > Photos > turn on Optimize iPhone Storage. This keeps full-res photos in iCloud and smaller versions on your phone, freeing device space."
4. Delete Duplicate and Blurry Photos
"Open Photos app, go through Recently Deleted, Duplicates, and delete screenshots, blurry shots, and Live Photos you don't need."
5. Clear iCloud Mail Attachments
"In Mail on iPhone, search has:attachment and delete emails with large files. Empty Trash folder to permanently remove them."
6. Remove Unused App Data
"Settings > iCloud > Manage Storage, tap each app using space, and delete data from apps you don't use anymore like old games or messaging apps."
7. Stop Auto-Backup for Big Apps
"Settings > iCloud > iCloud Backup > turn off backup for apps that don't need it like music apps, games, or apps you can re-download."
8. Clean Up iCloud Drive Files
"Open Files app > iCloud Drive, sort by size, and delete old documents, downloads, and files you no longer need or have saved elsewhere."
