1/ Why can't Russia have n̶i̶c̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶s̶ interceptor drones that work, unlike Ukraine? The answer, says one warblogger, is that Russia's military-industrial complex has been captured by big vested interests who've made it into a "gravy train". ⬇️
2/ '¡No Pasaràn!' compares Ukraine's P1-SUN with Russia's Yolka interceptor drone:
"The Ukrainians also made a "Yolka." How is it different from ours?
P1-SUN.
Acceleration up to 450 km/h.
Interception altitude up to 5000 m.
3/ "Our Yolka:
Maximum speed 250.
Interception altitude 2000 m.
Not allowed in the rain, not allowed at night, not allowed if facing the sun. If a bird flies between the Yolka and an enemy UAV, the Yolka can lock onto it. It can simply get knocked off course.
4/ "And it's quite fragile. Considering the emphasis is on a kinetic strike, we need to increase the speed. I have a video where they launched the Yolka and hit it, but the enemy UAV only temporarily lost control and altitude. Then it leveled out and flew on.
5/ "Overall, the Ukrainians did a great job. They looked at our successful development and made it better.
Question: Why can't we do this? Why do we reinvent the wheel every time, when it doesn't work?
6/ "Answer:
Defence production is a gravy train. Only our own people are allowed to get into it, not the competent. Our backward, semi-feudal state system doesn't allow competent and proactive people access to this gravy train." /end
