The ongoing problem for the @opcw is that it cannot erase the fact that it helped cover up the murder of 43 civilians in Douma during the investigation of an alleged chlorine gas attack in 2018.
1) When its own scientists sought to challenge the corrupted investigation, they were sidelined and then smeared. Inspector Brendan Whelan recently won his ILOAT case against the @opcw. thegrayzone.com/2026/05/24/opc…
2) During the course of the ILOAT legal battle, the @opcw inadvertently confirmed that they had censored a report from top NATO chemical weapons experts (toxicologists) which had concluded these civilians could not have been killed by chlorine gas:
3) For detailed scientific discussion of the toxicology issue read pages 65-78 of this report commissioned by MEPs: berlingroup21.org/front-matter-a…
4) None of these facts have ever been refuted and, furthermore, the UK foreign office funded "White Helmets" were closely involved with the handling, rearranging and burial of the civilians found dead in Douma. Their activities were overseen by a former British military commander (James le Mesurier) whose wife is MI6-linked. ukcolumn.org/article/attack…
5) Now, with a Western-installed government in Syria and input from the the UK government, the @opcw is attempting to close the Syria dossier by presenting supposed evidence of the "remnants" of a Syrian government CW programme.
6) The organisation has proven that it cannot be trusted. And, clearly, the cooptation & corruption of the @opcw, revealed during the Douma scandal, will carry on until the truth of what happened in Douma is finally confronted by the organisation and its member states.
