The 29-page indictment of Dr. David Morens, Fauci’s former senior advisor at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from 2006 to 2022, mentions Fauci 35 times.

The conspiracy that Morens faces charges for being a party to was one where he, EcoHealth's Peter Daszak, Boston University’s Gerald Keusch, and others created a "back channel" to Fauci through Morens.

Daszak's EcoHealth had, since 2014, a grant from the NIH for studying bat coronaviruses.

EcoHealth worked with and sent some of that grant money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Gerald Keusch was an infectious-disease researcher with Boston University’s National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory.

Daszak brought Keusch onboard as a co-investigator, and through EcoHealth, they jointly applied for and received an NIH grant in June 2019 for funding of an Emerging Infectious Disease Regional Center (EIDRC).

In April 2020 EcoHealth's grant from the NIH was paused and then cancelled.

But that was only the bat coronavirus research grant.

The grant from NIH for the EIDRC was still pending at that time.

Keusch wanted Daszak to fight for the bat coronavirus grant to be reinstated, but “certainly not before the EIDRC funding comes through.”

The day after the bat coronavirus grant was terminated, Morens, emailed Daszak and Keusch from his personal Gmail.

“This is sent from my gmail account. Please send all replies here To gmail [...] There are things I cant say except [Senior NIAID Official 1] is aware and I have learned that there are ongoing efforts within NIH
to steer through this with minimal damage to you, [CO-CONSPIRATOR 1], and colleagues, and
to nih and niaid.”

Daszak, on behalf of Keusch and others involved in the conspiracy, wrote back to Morens.

"David- We'll communicate with you via gmail from now on."

The conspiracy had begun.

Why would they need to communicate in this way?

Because of those "[dreaded]" FOIAs.

And why did they dread these FOIAs? It wasn't just the time it took to respond to them.

The FOIAs could expose the crooked scheme these folks were engineering.

In the wake of the grant being cancelled, they had setup a "back channel" to Fauci in an effort to:

- Navigate the firestorm EcoHealth caught in
- Lobby NIH to reinstate the EcoHealth grant
- Ensure the EIDRC grant money came through
- Control/influence the Covid origin narrative

Keeping their communications off government channels also protected parties to the conspiracy, including Daszak—who had a clear conflict of interest—UNC’s Ralph Baric, Fauci, and others.

"...[It's] most important that [Fauci] not have anything on the record that could come back to bite.

Just a couple days after entering into this conspiracy, Morens sent nonpublic NIH documents to Daszak, Keusch, EcoHealth's Board Chair, and Daszak's Chief of Staff.

With this information, they could better attune their lobbying for reinstatement/approval of grants and influence narratives.

By the first week of May 2020, Morens was pulling in members of a "prominent professional medical organization" to defend Daszak and EcoHealth.

I believe this to be the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH), where Morens has been a fellow since 2015 and has chaired their Committee on Arthropod-Borne and Zoonotic Viruses.

On July 3, 2020, Morens submitted a paper titled "The Origin of COVID-19 and Why It Matters" to the American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.

Keusch is a co-author of the paper.

The following month NIH approved the $7.5 million EIDRC grant.

Morens was emailed Daszak to ask about getting a kickback.

In perhaps the most prescient response imaginable, Daszak replied,

"Of course there’s a kickback. It starts with 5 more years of FOIA requests...just hope it doesn’t culminate in 5 years in Federal jail...”

A little over a year later, cracks were forming in their conspiracy.

A FOIA request targeting Morens' NIAID address threatened to expose their scheme.

Daszak wrote to the others to warn them and, in so doing, confessed to the whole damn thing.

Now, five years on, the years of FOIA requests have turned to potential prison time for Morens. Possibly others.

The indictment of Morens mentions Fauci 35 times in just 29 pages. In this video I take you through the indictment and each of those mentions.
