Want to take a moment and debrief from this year's #FWBLC.

If you're part of the #NAFWB movement read and respond to this thread.

We should commend the @NAFWB for dedicating the conf to the topic of developing young leaders AND their willingness to change up format.

Doing 3 panels was out of the norm and maybe you've noticed FWBs don't love change.
That took some guts, but it let us hear many voices.

Hopefully the significance of having all 4 #NAFWB college presidents sit TOGETHER before our leadership was lost on no one.
It was major.

I started attending the #FWBLC years ago & I was the youngest guy by a mile.
There were only a few in my generation....
That's changed.

I'm no longer the youngest. I'm no longer one of few guys under 50.

It's Changing.

There's an unmistakable resurgence of young leaders.

But the encouragement was not merely the changing demographics.

I heard a different tone.
I heard a distinction between mission & method.

Both from the stage & in conversation & in committee meetings I heard that *we* are realizing that guys using different methodology are....

...still dedicated to our doctrine, identity, & mission.

We are beginning to see that what unites us is not methods or traditions but doctrine & mission.

I've been working close with FWB leadership through the general board, exec committee, & media Commission over the past 3 years.
I'm 34...

...I can tell you that I've been welcomed, encouraged, & heard.

Young leaders, KNOW that there is a place for you in this movement.

May the best days be before us.
