There’s solid evidence that Asians are discriminated against in admissions, but it’s wrong to attack #AffirmativeAction because of it.

In particular – we’ve somehow come to think that it’s OK that the children of college alumni get a leg up in admissions.

We’re talking about the children of the Ivy League – basically the most privileged people on the planet! Why do they need extra help?

Legacy admissions overwhelmingly benefit rich white families – end that, and let’s see what happens to Asian-American admissions rates.

A side note: Asian-Americans are a growing population that historically vote strongly Democratic. I think that attacking anti-Asian

discrimination is a potential wedge issue Trump could use. Dems shouldn’t hear these complaints as anti-AA – there are other answers!
