There is an option to stop it accessible right on the page and uBlock or AdBlock will block it too. Let me know how you feel about it?
Even if it does not bring good money (15$/mo) I prefer that than any kind of Ads that would pollute the site and distract the reader.
If you're not happy with the miner, stop it (link is on the page) and make a small donation instead :)
PS: Ads also take your resources + it uses a lot of data (especially video one) and slows down you computer + tracks you + annoying.
