We will all face trials and temptations in this life, but we are promised that for every temptation placed in front of us, we will be provided a way of escape!
1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
The LORD allows these trials and temptations to test us, and to perfect us in Him! And when we look for the way of escape the LORD has promised, and take it, we will receive the Crown of Life!
Are you foolish in the eyes of the LORD? Are you foolish in the eyes of the world?
The Word speaks of being foolish or a fool, but it also speaks about the LORD using the foolish things to confound the wisdom of the world!
What is the difference?
If you are a fool you are easily fooled by lies! You have no wisdom or discernment! Defined a fool is lacking in judgment, understanding, and the ability to reason!
To be a fool in the eyes of the world you are seen as weak, and common! Those of us who trust in Jesus Christ as our Savior and LORD are especially seen as foolish for doing so!
So many today are living their lives to satisfy whatsoever their heart desires!
They are building up treasures on earth, but none in heaven!
They are seeking every earthly desire and pleasure — Things with no eternal value!
They are living their lives under what the Word of God calls the deceitful pride of life!
They are like the man thinking only in terms of earthly matters, and building bigger barns to store their treasures!
Luke 12:16-21
And He spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
I want to share something I shared with my daughter in 2007. I hope it will encourage the wives and mothers who read this message that being a wife and a mother is a noble aspiration!
Here is an email that I wrote to my daughter 18 years ago, and then some thoughts about the noble aspiration and high calling of being a wife and mother!
First the email!
Today at work it came up about what kind of views our children are learning in school.
One of, if not the most important thing missing from our world today is the fear of the LORD!
When Isaiah saw the LORD, he realized his own frailty!
Isaiah 6:1,5
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple.
[5] Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Hosts.
The Spirit of the LORD showed Ezekiel what His people were doing when they thought no one could see them!
He even showed him what they were imagining in their minds!
In the story we see the Spirit taking Ezekiel by the hair of his head to show him what was being done in secret, even those things hidden in the hearts of those who claimed to be His children!
These people were living in sin and practicing idolatry, while at the same time putting on a pretense of worshipping God! Even the priests!
The Spirit took Ezekiel to show him these abominations!
