story time with me!
so on like 9th july 2018 at around 2:00am i was otw back from sending a friend home when i literally almost lost my life over somebody’s reckless decision to run a red light. (my cute car is the myvi) THIS IS A PSA THREAD:

now i don’t have this entire thread planned out so it might get messy but i just wanna ensure anybody who would ever be in this situation (touch wood) to know what to do in order to get the justice they deserve (which i didn’t) + m aggro so need to get things off my chest

background story i’m coming in from the green arrow while the other came in HOT from the red. i 100% knew my light was green for the fact that 1) there were 2 cars in front of me that were moving and 2) i’m not colour blind or blind sia so i know what green looks like kan

and because it was late when i got to the light i slowed down to like a 20km/hr to check if there were any bikes or mat rempits that had beat the red light and there weren’t so i moved forward and the next thing i knew -

this car was just coming straight towards me i didnt even have the time to honk and i knew i couldnt do anything so i just closed my eyes and let it happen and i cant explain how terrifying it is to feel like youre living the last seconds of your life and u cant do shit about it

but anyway im alive so woo here’s the PSA PART!!! i was alone in the car vs 3 people from the car that hit me so i was vulnerable and shaky but still hard headed cuz i was ready to fight this bitch and here’s why:

1st question they asked me was if i had a dash cam and the naive me said no. IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS YOU SHOULD NEVER DISCLOSE YOUR VULNERABILITY OR THE GUILTY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION (a lesson i had to learn the hard way)

second sign of guilt was that after knowing i had no dash cam, they proceeded to accuse me of running a red light in which i yelled in her face about how cars on her end were STILL stopped because the light was red (i was fucking heated my dudes)

IN WHICH CASE 2) ALWAYS TRY TO COMPOSE YOURSELF AND TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE USED AS PROOF !

third sign of guilt was when they came up to me for the tHIRD TIME to ask if i was drunk driving !! in which i replied to “YOUR HEAD AH YOU THINK IM DUMB? WERE YOU DRINKING?” all in all just trying to intimidate me but lol u got the wrong one

and another sign of guilt was the fact that the driver couldn’t provide me with her drivers licence in which case 3) ITS ALWAYS EASIER TO GET POLICE INVOLVED IN THESE COMPLICATED SITUATIONS SO THE GUILTY WONT JUST GET AWAY WITH ALMOST KILLING ANOTHER HUMAN BEAN

because i didn’t do all those things, (plus the incompetency of malaysian police) the driver went into the police station the next day and lied about everything which resulted in an inconclusive report aka she wasn’t held accountable for almost killing me

when i heard the verdict i cried because i was angry and upset that a driver like that was allowed back on the road potentially risking other drivers in the future

and the truth of the matter is that this happens almost everyday i was lucky enough to come out of it fine but most don’t. no matter how empty you THINK the road is just follow the god damn LIGHT waiting for a few minutes at a red light could potentially save lives

and to the girl that almost killed me and then lied about it : fuck you 😊
