Despite the vocal demands of the civil society, rights activists and various resolutions adopted by the Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly for greater autonomy and full citizenship rights, no prospect is being made to ensure to meet the concerns of People of #GilgitBaltistan.

The region is a gateway to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor and, yet it is ignored on many policy matters. The bureaucracy is running the region's affairs with policy driven from federal while undermining the local leadership. #71independencedayGB #GilgitBaltistan

on the other hand, The leadership of Azad Jammu and Kashmir becomes furious if they see any development on the full citizenship rights for the people of Gilgit Baltistan which is very disappointing to notice. #71independencedayGB #GilgitBaltistan

The AJK is being run through an interim constitutional act given in 1971 While the People of #GilgitBaltistan who made allegiance to Pakistan in Nov 1947 after Liberation from Dogra regime had to wait until 2009 for a provisional Provincial Status.#71independencedayGB

#GilgitBaltistan got independence on its own on Nov1st, 1947 through an armed revolt led by a small group of Gilgit Scouts supported by the local people against the then Dogra regime. After16 days of self-rule as an Independent State, GB made accession to Pak #71independencedayGB

For 70 years, the people have been voicing for full citizenships rights that still not been materialized. What could be more disappointing than not to see a single medical, engineering and an arts college in whole #GilgitBaltistan #71independencedayGB

The ill-infrastructure, lack of Govt Facilities, issues of land ownership rights and strong dominance of the bureaucracy has further enhanced the grievances of the local people, while those speaking are either silenced or labeled anti-state #GilgitBaltistan #71independencedayGB

The Time of Hour requires bold steps from the Govt, it could be done by bringing the People of #GilgitBaltistan in the mainstream National Politics. People of GB want their rights and want their people to be elected for the national assembly and Senate. #71independencedayGB

The #GilgitBaltistan deserves to be named as the fifth province of Pakistan. Only this way, the critiques, and cries for rights by activists can be assuaged. if not the province, then an independent setup through an interim constitutional act #71independencedayGB

Now or Never,The Khakis & Politicians shud decide about the future of #GilgitBaltistan.They have a choice of keeping GB as a cantonment or turn the game up by integrating it as a full-fledged province of Pakistan May God give a sane voice to all.#71independencedayGB
