USA's African strategy to be released in under a week.

My question : What is Africa's strategy towards the two?

My take:
For Africa to benefit from these strategies from either the USA or from China, there is need to move as a unit.
When China pledges funding , they do so while looking at Africa as a unit.
We must not forget that every country in Africa has it's own needs and interests.

But these needs should not drive a country to entertain imperialist/exploitative policies.

African countries need to stop being too thirsty for funding without proper monitoring and accountability mechanisms.

There is need to get our own strategy towards the East and the West.

This way, they will not dump their policies on us, and we can negotiate from a point of information.

To set themselves up for success, African countries need a lot of housekeeping.

It may not be immediate but the dream of "Africa Rising" will be realized, eventually

For now, the "Africa Rising" concept is being used as a strategy to exploit Africa even more.

Governments are rushing to get funding for projects that may not be viable in the long run , just to feel part of the Africa Rising wave.

The Rise must be strategic and informed.

After that, we can now talk about how Africa will move from being dependent on these 'big brothers'.

They are not helping Africa out of love and compassion, they are here to advance their national interests.

Africa is just an economical and political battle field to them.

What should Africa's strategy be towards the East and the West?
