For those of you who don’t know, BTS took part in a reality show back in 2014. During their time in LA they had hip hop mentors and Tony was one of them. @BTS_twt @BigHitEnt #bts

Tony’s most memorable moments came from his interactions with Jimin on the show and he became known for that. @BTS_twt @BigHitEnt #bts

Now here’s my experience with him. Last September we were planning an “ARMY Party” together. We were making arrangements for him to come to Trinidad. He said there needed to be at least 1000 ARMYs willing to come or he wouldn’t.

Which is understandable considering the distance he was willing to travel. In Trinidad we made a petition to Colbie Winters, the person Tony put in charge, and signatures were rolling in.

Now Colbie is one of the nicest people I know. She wanted the event to be free and she was so excited about it. She wanted to buy BTS merch to giveaway and even an ARMY Bomb as a door prize. She got BTS stamps for people attending. But Tony said no.

He said “this is a Tony event. I’m tired of being associated with them. I want to turn them into Tony fans.” So he charged for the event. Tickets ranged from $75 - $200US.

Colbie suggested that a breakdown of the tickets should be given so ARMY can know what their money’s going to and if they’re getting their money’s worth. But Tony said “I don’t want to. We don’t owe them anything.”

Colbie’s original vision for the event was just a picnic in the park with the mentors as omg factors answering questions about what it was like to work with BTS. Nate was down for it but when he found out Tony was charging he refused to attend.

Despite all this we stood by Tony and went on with planning the event on Trinidad’s end. The way he spoke about it got us really excited. He used his charm to get people’s hopes up. Only to find out after, he had anterior motives to reach Jimin.

We all knew about him wanting to collab with BTS and we were supporting him. He was even considering taking a trip to Korea to visit them. What I later found out was Jimin was his target, he wanted to do a track with him, not the rest of the boys.

The sad part is he didn’t want to rekindle their friendship. He said things like, “I already paid my dues. But I can make millions if I collab with Jimin.” His documents and package for the collab were already given to BigHit at this point.

Colbie suggested that if he wanted to collab with him he should rekindle the friendship first because he hadn’t seen them or spoken to them in about 2 years. So he dmed them on twitter.

Nothing heart felt, just “heard you guys are gonna be in town, let’s link up”. Colbie, having access to his account because they were close friends, deleted the message before any of the boys could see it.

They ended up leaving LA before he knew it, and headed to their next stop on the tour.

Last October the tickets for the ARMY Party in LA went on sale and it got major backlash. Fans were outraged he was charging more than some BTS concert tickets. It got so much hate that it ended up being cancelled.

Initially he didn’t want to apologise because he believed he didn’t owe anything but Colbie eventually convinced him to. It wasn’t even a good apology

He even told Colbie to put the event under her name because she “deserved it”. She had no idea what was going to come her way. So of course ARMY attacked her. Tony knew this would happen so that’s why he shifted all the blame to her.

She was forced to deactivate her twitter and over the next few days had multiple panic attacks and breakdowns from taking the blame for Tony.

Colbie is also a producer and she makes music. All she did was support Tony going as far as spending her own money on him and he never once supported her.

Working on this event with Tony his true colours really shined through. This man is not genuine at all. That Tony from AHL was just a character feeding off of Jimin and his likeness. The fame didn’t get to his head, he was always this arrogant.

I just want to make something clear, I don’t want people to go to Tony and bash him on his profile. I just want him to learn from his mistakes and I want ARMY to look out for Jimin. If you like Tony and his music by all means support him.

At the end of the day he’s still an artist. See him as an individual and don’t associate him with BTS.
