Trump's pal David Pecker tried to blackmail Jeff Bezos. Big mistake. Huge.

"Any personal embarrassment AMI [publisher of National Enquirer] could cause me takes a back seat...If in my position I can’t stand up to this kind of extortion, how many people can?" -@JeffBezos
Jeff Bezos: David Pecker was “apoplectic” about our investigation...the Saudi angle seems to hit a particularly sensitive nerve.

AMI sources say that in return for the catch & kill operation, Trump introduced Pecker to funding sources: Prince MBS.

Per @RoigFranzia: Bezos security specialist Gavin de Becker said the texts & photos may have been obtained by a foreign govt for Trump and given to AMI.

–> In 2018, MBS obtained new cyber warfare tools: “Once a phone is infected...full access to victim’s texts, photos--”

"Both de Becker and Sanchez at various points theorized that government or foreign hacking could have been behind the leak of Bezos’s texts...that Trump might have enlisted the help of British intelligence or the Israeli Mossad."

Israeli spyware Pegasus [for whom Flynn was a paid advisor], acquired by MBS for $55M in 2018, allows customers to secretly listen to calls on victim's phone, see texts & photos, and use phone’s mic & camera as surveillance devices. #Bezos

Has Jeff Bezos turned over evidence to the FBI of a Saudi-Trump-AMI criminal conspiracy? My guess is yes.

BREAKING: Federal prosecutors in the SDNY US Attorney's office are reviewing the National Enquirer’s handling of its story about Jeff Bezos’ extramarital affair to determine if they violated an earlier cooperation deal.

Jared Kushner, who is very close to Saudi Crown Prince MBS, nearly bought the Enquirer in 2014, then became Trump team Enquirer liaison.

Oct 2017: SoftBank, whose CEO has deep ties to Saudi Prince MBS, lent $57M to Kushner Cos. That same month, Jared left DC for an unannounced visit with MBS when he reportedly divulged classified intel. A week later, MBS launched his royal "purge."

via @sam_vinograd: Why WOULDN’T @WhiteHouse meet their legal obligations under the Magnitsky Act to deliver a report to Congress on what happened to Khashoggi? Only logical answer is that they don’t want Congress to hold Khashoggi’s murderers accountable.

Trump's former NSA accused him of treasonous conduct –– “aiding and abetting” Russia's attack on the 2020 election –– and the story was blown away by the never-ending firehose of craziness and disinformation generated by Trump and his crew.

It took 70 days from the initial notification on Jan 3 for Trump to treat coronavirus not as a hoax, but as a lethal force poised to kill thousands. But by then, critical time had been squandered and opportunities to mitigate the pandemic were lost.washingtonpost.com/national-secur…
Because of Trump and his admin's failures over the first 70 days of the coronavirus crisis, the US will likely go down as the country that was supposedly best prepared to fight a pandemic but ended up sustaining heavier casualties than any other nation.
For 70 days, Trump lied to the public about coronavirus.

By the time he proclaimed himself a wartime president and coronavirus the enemy, the US was on track to see more of its people die than in the wars of Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq combined.

NEW: Trump has fired intelligence community inspector general Michael Atkinson, who was first to sound the alarm to Congress last September about an “urgent” complaint he’d received from an intelligence official re Trump’s communications with Ukraine.politico.com/news/2020/04/0…
Schiff: Trump’s dead of night decision to fire ICIG Michael Atkinson is another blatant attempt to gut the independence of the Intelligence Community and retaliate against those who dare to expose presidential wrongdoing.
