Taehyung smiled out onto the crowd for the last time as he wrapped up his last performance. He's a little breathy right now and there's sweat on his forehead but his smile is still lighthearted and genuine as the crowd cheered back at him.

It was a mutual agreement, something
unsaid between him and the fans as the concert came to an end to finish this with a happy, savory note. He said his final thank you's and fulfilling speeches as he looked around the stadium. It's a habit of his now. Regardless of what the event is, a fan sign, a concert, or even
a variety show, he always tries to look at his fans at least once. It seems impossible at first, with the tens of thousands of people chanting his name and echoing the sound through the arena but he still tries.
He likes starting from the back at first. It's just a space of black with the glow of his light sticks since it's too far away for him to look at all the faces there but he still takes a moment to pause at every single section even if it's just the back.
Then he moves to the right and afterward he makes his way down to the ground level with his eyes. As he gets closer, he starts looking at flashes of the different, foggy faces of the people who have come to support him and he smiles wider.
Finally, he moves to the people who he can actually make out the distinct features of their faces and suddenly he comes to a sharp stop. As he's looking in one direction, he notices the flashing of a camera and then his breath stops in the middle of his throat
and then his heartbeat quickens.

Time stops.

For a second, for a minute, for some more. He's not sure of what exactly happened because his mind has already went blank.
The arena starts coming to life, not by the sounds of his fan base but through the vibrant colors that swept through the stadium. Taehyung feels his lips dry as they hung open with the sudden burst of a purple glow throughout the space. He picks out the yellow tone of the lights
on stage, the different patterns on the set around him and the colors that fill his life right now. There were so many different things. So many different tones besides the usual black, white and grey and suddenly his breath is taken away. It's watering his eyes because of
the impact it left on his heart. It almost took him through an entire trip of emotions starting with a single step and suddenly he's made a journey all the way to the heights of the sky and the feeling of that can never be factually described into words.

It's that beautiful.
For a second, he's frantically looking around, trying to look at all the different light colors that he's seeing for the first time. He was almost acting like a child who has received his first toy but he couldn't help it. It was his first time his eyes laid on something so
magnificent, so blinding. Each wavelength seems to be intrinsically prepared just for him as his gaze devoured through the stadium that seem to be energized with only two things, life, and beauty and it was a touching moment made just for him.
All his life, of anyone's life, they've been waiting for this moment and Taehyung feels a little lost when he looks back at the same direction his eyes carried him that allowed him to see the view before him, searching for the most important person in his life that is his
destined half. However, unfortunately, at the same time, the leverage of the stage beneath him started turning and it soon takes him off and out of eyesight from the stadium. He almost wants to shout out ''Wait!'' but by the time his brain came back to a functioning mode and the
words were able to make it out of his mouth, he's already off the stage and underneath the arena.
He's still in a pleasant state of shock and one hand went to his heart because he wants to make sure that what he just experienced was genuine. He almost wants to pinch himself but
there was already a part of him that knew what just happened.

He found his soulmate.
There's a wave of panic and happiness that settled in his heart, happiness because he's finally found his destined one but panic because he doesn't know who it is. He almost wants to go back on stage and call out to them but he's not sure how he'd possibly be able to find them
again now with all the chaos of people exiting and going about. Because there's too many things he wants to do and too many questions he has unanswered he just stands there for a period of silence. That is until someone found him in his troubled trance.

''Oh my god Taehyung,
you were amazing. That last note was absolutely beautiful and you almost had me in tears-'' Jimin came up from behind Taehyung and hugged him. This was his best friend's first and last concert in Seoul so of course, he had to come to support him and while he wanted to rant on
about how that was a splendid performance, Taehyung had something more important on his mind.

''Jimin, you're wearing a green jacket.'' He muttered, almost to himself since it was barely audible.

''Yeah, I am...'' Jimin raised an eyebrow, unsure what his jacket had to do with
anything he just said.

''You're wearing a green jacket,'' Taehyung repeated, adding emphasis to the name of the color that he's seeing on his best friend. For a second, Jimin pauses and then his jaw drops a little, almost similar to how Taehyung was on stage when it happened.
'' Oh my goodness,'' Jimin whispered.

Jimin had something else to say but he didn't have to. Their eyes made strict contact and Taehyung already understood. They both knew what this meant.
''Yeah...'' Taehyung breathed, trying to get his beating heart to relax and for the adrenaline in his body to slow down. Jimin was just as speechless as he was.

''My god.'' He repeated. It's as if there was nothing else that he could say.

Taehyung felt the same way.

running away
Taehyung sighed, his breath like a gust of wind that flowed into visibility against the cold air in the room as he rubbed his temple. It was much into the night and he had just finished settling everything with his management regarding the sudden cancellation of his stadium tour.
Needless to say, he had to put up a fight. Regardless of how much the company treasured and respected him on a day to day basis when it came to a full tour and a full range of events leading to millions of profit, it seems as if his word had little to no impact.
There was a lot of negotiations, a lot of aggressive discussions and even quite some passive arguments but he managed to settle it through.

Thankfully, this world does place a good amount of worth and value on soulmates and such so his reasoning, as well as his backing, did gain
a lot of ground. His worth to the company from the past and to the future was the final input that ended the conversation. It was still a long process though. The phone call with his current head manager alone took up an hour and a half of time and the rest just piled up
almost like a weight of a ton, constantly on his back until the only thing he could do was to sink back into his armchair and let all the weight settle in until he could get used to it.
The only good that came from this procedure was knowing that he wasn't alone in this fight. And his motive continues to be a reason as to why he did this in the first place, and why his will, will carry him through this whole search until the end.
''Long day?'' Taehyung could feel his lip lift an inch, he was too tired to smile any wider, at the sound of Jimin's voice coming from the doorway of his private office in the company headquarters.
''You bet.'' He muttered, trying to sit up.

''Good thing that I remembered to bring you some coffee.'' Jimin chirped, setting it right next to his hands. ''Extra espresso, extra sugar.''

''Thank's Minnie.'' Taehyung murmured softly before taking a sip of the warm coffee.
As soon as the hot caffeine flowed into his system, he feels much better, or at least more active. The burdens that he has seems to be levitated, or rather, easier to carry. The exhaustion he had also seemed to slowly disappear and for the nth time, he let out a sigh, but this
time without worry and without a hint of helplessness.

''Listen, I know this is very important to you but you've already had a big day,'' Jimin started, glancing at the bright screen of the computer sitting at the very center of his desk and eyeing the multiple tabs that are
opened with emails and other files that Taehyung has to complete. Brushing off Taehyung's defensive arms, Jimin rushed to save everything and then shut down the desktop. ''Come on, let's go home. I'll give you a ride back.''
Taehyung couldn't say anything else other than a soft thank you because, for some reason, it seems as if Jimin always has his good intentions at heart, even more than he does for himself. He couldn't say much more because then Jimin would just retort with the usual,
''That's what best friends are for,'' and knowing his best friend, if he argued to stay a little later, he'd probably stay along with him. Knowing his best friend's boyfriend, he'd get a call very soon that would result in him getting chewed out.
So, within a few minutes, Taehyung is following Jimin out to the front doors of the building but they were stopped short by a rather unforeseen event.

''What's the matter?''

''I'm not sure if you'd want to go out to the front doors right now, sir.''
The security guard from the front office explained, looking a little worried.

''Why?'' What's wrong?''  Taehyung frowned.

''There's someone who's out there wanting to see you but he doesn't have a pass.''
''Maybe it's your fan?'' Jimin pointed out.

The security guard seemed to hear what he said because he continued. ''Looked like a journalist. He had an I.D. from Dispatch on his neck.''
''A journalist?'' Taehyung seemed a little surprised but Jimin immediately furrowed his brows at the statement and then started tugging on his sleeve.

''He's right, you shouldn't leave from the front.
It's one journalist now but who knows how much of them is hiding and waiting to pounce on you. There might even be van loads of them just waiting for you to appear in public.''

Jimin's analysis was pretty on point.
He just released the statement as to how he's canceling the tour a few hours ago and it's already one of the top headlines of all news agencies so it's reasonable that they'd want to further question him and figure out his reasoning behind it.
And oh boy, if the news got a hold of the fact that Kim Taehyung found his soulmate...it'd be chaos. Taehyung shivered just by thinking about all the hassle it'd be.

''You want me to pull my car to the back and you can get like a cap or something?'' Jimin asked worriedly.
What should Taehyung do?
"Wouldn't that be a little too troublesome though?" Taehyung looked from Jimin to the security guard and then back. "I mean, I'd have to put up with them sooner or later so why not get it out of the way right now?"
It's true.

Him being one of the hottest artists currently in the industry means that the media always has eyes on him. It's only a matter of time they pressure him to hold a press conference or a public statement regarding his issue.
"Yeah but you haven't settled everything with your management yet. What if you accidentally say the wrong thing or let something slip? It's better to be safe than sorry." Jimin urged, insisting on his argument.
Taehyung thought about it for a bit, chewing his lips before finally nodding and deciding to go with the plan that's proposed. "I'll go see if there's a face mask in my office and I'll meet you out in the building garage okay?"
Jimin gave a resounding yes, scurrying off with his car keys almost as if he wanted to leave before Taehyung changes his mind.

Taehyung could only shrug, chuckle and comply.
Jimin drove a simple car today, not his usual expensive vehicles or even a BMW.

This makes Taehyung very glad an relieved since they're trying to keep a low profile right now. Hopefully, those crazy hawks don't have this car flagged as well otherwise this would be futile.
"I'm telling you- Taetae are you even listening to me? I'm saying that you need to just stay in your apartment for a couple days or two. Wait until-..." Jimin has always been that caring friend that ranted about what's best for him and Taehyung smiled, attempting to soak in all
the words that Jimin has definitely already said to him before.

"You never pay attention to me whenever I try to tell you something important." Jimin takes his eyes off the road on the exit out of the parking lot for a second to blow him a raspberry.
Taehyung was about to joke back and give a sarcastic remark when he sees a flash of a figure in his peripheral. In that second his heart almost jumped out of his chest.

"Oh my god Jimin look out!"
There was the sharp, hideous squeal of tires coming to a stop an Taehyung thanked the heavens that his seat belt was able to give him some reassurance in the sudden change of events. It was too out of the blue that their brains fails to function at that very moment.
There were a couple seconds of stunned silence and rushed breaths before they were able collect their thoughts.

"Oh my god, did I-" Jimin asked faintly

"No." Taehyung breathed back.
They didn't feel the bump of crashing into that someone and the person that ran out in front of the car, after their minds and eyes came back focus, was standing in front of them with his arms raised in a shielding position, blocking his face as he too was probably scared for
his life. Literally.

Jimin starts unbuckling his seatbelt. "I'll go apologize to him and you stay here."

Taehyung wanted to nod but as the other person outside the car dropped his arms, his body seemed to spin out of control.
Just one look and he's lost it all.

He can't put his finger on it but that person, whoever he is, he just stood out to him. There was a beckoning in a very deep part of his gut that screamed to Tahyung about how that person is important to him.
His heart is also exclaiming for him to do something, anything.

To touch him, hold him, and maybe kiss him even.

Tahyung is alarmed at these ridiculous thoughts that submerged after seeing this stranger but one thing was certain.

He had to investigate further.
"I think...I think I've seen him somewhere before-" Taehyung whispered softly before unbuckling his seat belt and hurrying out after Jimin too.

His heart currently did the thinking for him and his feet was quick to follow the instructions for once.
"Taehyung wait! What if someone recognizes you right now and-"

Too late.

Taehyung, in his adorably stubborn ways, failed to even catch wind of the warning. His heart was beating too fast for that.

Taehyung was already standing face to face with the "stranger".
Taehyung was looking at him, giving him a gentle once over but perhaps the other man was still recovering from the shock of the car being mere inches away from his body so he didn't say anything.

Neither did Taehyung.
He didn't know what to say. There was an explosion of his emotions that couldn't be voiced currently and he struggled to put it into words. He tried but in his mind, nothing he wanted to say made any sense and it frustrated him in the most unnerving way.
For once in his life, Taehyung found it difficult to speak in front of someone else. It was so strange, so out of the ordinary because usually other people don't have any impact on him, much less an impact like this. Yet here he was, throat dry and lips open blankly.
It was Jimin who broke the awkwardly pleasant silence.

''Listen, I'm so super sorry for that. I really hope you're okay.''

That seemed to do the trick as both Taehyung and the other realized that ''Oh, we almost could've been in a terrible car accident.''
''No, no. I'm okay. Don't worry about it. I was also not looking to see where I was going because I was too upset that I wasn't able to meet with...'' Jeongguk mustered a statement as best as he could before his eyes shot to the person he was just thinking of.
However, instead of a thought or an image, it's the real life person he's talking to. ''...Taehyung.'' It was just one word, a simple name but the weight of it carried through on both of them, like a breeze from spring that brought with it the petals of a blossoming love.
That's when Taehyung finally saw his entire face. Or rather, his eyes, for the most part. Taehyung noticed that the other's eyes were a rich chocolate brown. It was just an instant but it reminded him of the foundation of, well, everything he held dear to.
His eyes were an ordinary color but the difference was the sparkle that seemed to bear the life of earth from within it.

And he tripped into the rabbit hole that was the comfort and reassurance within that short moment of their eye contact and maybe
it was just his imagination but the world seemed to be more lively.

Vibrant. That seemed to be the most fitting word he could currently think of.

In all sorts of aspects too.
The world was now colorful, exciting even. Taehyung could feel it in his blood and he knew. There was still some doubt and some uncertainty floating in the midst of his mind but at that moment,
he was certain that his heartbeat that was racing against his eardrums were the result of meeting this person face to face rather than from the scare of the almost accident that could've taken place.
The other was important to him. He was one hundred percent positive. Important in the aspect that Taehyung longed to have talked to him sooner, to have heard his invigorating voice much sooner and to have also met him sooner.
Important because his heartstrings were buzzing into smooth lace made of the finest silk and the most powerful emotion of all.

Love.

That's what he felt for the stranger and abnormally, Taehyung doesn't actually have an issue with it.
''Are you guys okay?'' Jimin bit his lip, darting his eyes from one to the other as they have stood in silence for about five minutes now.

''It's you.'' Taehyung murmured. ''It was you at the concert, right?'' Taehyung sounded like he was scared that he was going to say no.
With that, everyone got the drift of the conversation and understood where it was going. Jimin's lips slowly grew into an ''oh,'' shape and Jeongguk bashfully nodded his head.

He too was frightened in the expectation of Taehyung's reaction to his response.
With that, they were back at it again with the fumbled words and the two of them making incoherent noises out of their mouths.

In some ways, it was super adorable. And from an outsider's perspective, it was easy to tell that they were made for each other.
''I-...I'm Kim Taehyung.'' Taehyung blurted out, almost regretting that statement immediately. If the other came to his concert and went out of their way to come to find him then, of course, he knew his name.
Gosh, couldn't he have found a better introduction when he's finally speaking to his soulmate?

Taehyung was a little embarrassed. He's been imagining this scenario for years, rehearsing and dreaming about what it'd be like and when it finally came, he doesn't know what to do.
''I'm Jeon Jeongguk.'' Thankfully, Jeongguk only smiled and introduced himself back. This was the first time he heard his name. Jeongguk. Maybe it's part of the bond but Taehyung immediately loved the name and reached out to shook his hand awkwardly with the two of them hitting
each other in the middle before lacing their fingers together in a weirdly shaped handshake which turned into the entanglement of both of their hands.

Surprisingly, it actually worked.

However, that instantly turned into an issue because neither of them wanted to let go.
''Oh god,'' Taehyung whispered. ''I almost missed you.''He was at the front office getting ready to go back home and if they haven't almost bumped into each other, Taehyung doesn't know when would've be the next time they saw each other face to face like this.
That thought immediately led to a nasty shiver on his spine and an even stronger urge to hold onto Jeongguk. It was territorial, a tenacious desire to always be by his side now.
''But you didn't.'' Jeongguk pointed out, also tightening his hold on the other and pouring his gaze over Taehyung like he was eye candy. If this was a fictional realm, there'd probably be roses and hearts fluttering around them to paint the delicate love that's finally found.
It was just holding hands but it signaled something more. It was the start of their introduction and getting to know each other and more days to come where they hold hands and many more. Taehyung couldn't hide the happiness and delight on his face because just thinking about it
made him hyper and overwhelmed with joy.

But just as he was about to say something else, the bothersome ringing of a cellphone hurled the beautiful moment into the trash.
''My bad.'' Jeongguk flushed red when the sound of his awful ringtone blasted through the air and he hurried to end the call but found that whenever he pressed decline, the other just called again.
''You can take it if you want. It's no problem.'' Taehyung was understanding even though he was a little bit upset by the disruption.

Even so, Jeongguk still apologized twice before taking a few steps away to hit accept.
It was a good thing he didn't put it on speaker. Otherwise, both Jimin and Taehyung would have to endure the shouting on the other end of the line like he did. Jeongguk tried his best to sound apologetic while firm at the same time while Hoseok cried to him.
''Sorry, uh, it's my roommate. I forgot to pay the electric bill and the power shut off so I'm sorry I had to pick up the call but it was actually pretty important.'' Jeongguk tried to stop himself from talking so much but it was futile because he's so nervous around Taehyung and
everything else just made him speak even more. Taehyung didn't need to know that he was irresponsible and forgetful but he told him anyway on what seems to be one of the most important conversations of their life.

''It's really okay,'' Taehyung reassured him. ''I understand.''
''I'm still so sorry- this wasn't the way I planned on-''

''It's okay. Really.'' Taehyung repeated. ''Actually, we should be doing this in a more proper setting. We should go grab a coffee or maybe dinner sometime so we can actually talk. I'm sure we'll have a lot to discuss.''
''Yeah, t-totally. We should definitely arrange a date of that sorts.'' Jeongguk tried his best to sound not overly excited. Taehyung then offered to have Jimin take them both home and he was about to agree but thinking about the angry Hoseok in their apartment, he assumes that
he would already have a lot of explaining to do without showing up with anyone else. Plus he already had too many ups and downs from today and it was only a few minutes of walking so he politely declined even though he did wish to spend more time with Taehyung.
''Then here. Here's my number so we can see each other again.'' Taehyung took the authority to put his contact information into his phone.

He handed it back and Jeongguk's heart took another leap because Taehyung saved his number under the name of ''My other half.''
One glance at his screen and then another on Taehyung's shy, but sweet smile and he knew he was going to be a goner.

''I'll keep in touch. '' He managed to respond before they hesitantly parted ways.

Jeongguk was head over heels. Needless to say, Taehyung was the exact same.

going out
At this point in time, Jeongguk realizes two important emotions that he has. One is excitement, jittery feelings that explode from his heart. The next is nerves. Huge nerves.

Especially when it came to anything about Taehyung. Excitement and delight too but mostly it's nerves.
First, he's thrown off his feet. The way the other carries himself, the way he looks, and the way he talks to him makes his mind go black and suddenly he's a blubbering mess with his heart thumping out of his chest if he isn't one already.
He's unsure of what to do, of what to say and then he feels like he's making a fool of himself. It's not like Taehyung minds, in fact, Jeongguk thinks Taehyung actually enjoys his personality but still, he seems to be less coherent around him.

Like now.
Taehyung had texted him the destination of the reservation he got and it's only his nature to show up about an hour early. However, even doing that was unnecessary because as soon as he arrived, he realized he's underdressed. Originally, he thought he was going to be a looker
with his white button down and sleek navy blue vest on top, he even wore khaki's for the first time in forever, but after looking at the ten-story-high glass building that he's entering, he realizes his shortfalls. He's not overdressed like he expected, but a ''common'' mistake
of showing up to a fancy restaurant looking like he's dressed to attend a private school that's ranked at the very bottom of the scale.

He wanted to go back home and change but he wasn't sure if he'd be able to make it on time then and it would be horrible to make his soulmate
wait for him on the first date. Well, if it was the first date. It is, isn't it? Doesn't matter. While all these questions raced through his mind, the hostess kindly led him to a secluded room in the back and at that moment
all chances of him speeding home and changing into the only suit he had were gone.

So, Jeongguk did the only thing he could do.

He waited.

Thankfully, it wasn't very long before Taehyung arrived, looking like a beautiful artwork pieced together by da Vinci himself
and as soon as he did, Jeongguk shriveled up into a frozen mess trying to look natural in his seat and failing, but only after he fell head over heels for the charming smile Taehyung gave him while he walked in through the sliding door.
''Sorry I'm late. I wanted to show up early but traffic got the best of me.'' Taehyung apologized and they both dimly grinned because currently, they both showed up about 45 minutes earlier than the designated time they plotted out but it was unspoken since it didn't need to be.
''I just had a lot of time on my hands, that's all. You weren't that late anyway.'' Jeongguk mustered a reply.

''It's good then, this gives us more time to talk.'' Taehyung squeezed his palm and that's when Jeongguk realized something else.
When he first arrived, he folded his hands on the table while waiting and when Taehyung sat down in front of him, he did too. Now, for some magical reason, they were holding on to each other from across the slim, marble table and Jeongguk doesn't remember how his hands got there
but they're in the middle of the table now. Maybe it was Taehyung's allurement or maybe it's their connection but Jeongguk definitely liked the texture of Taehyung's hands and how warm they felt against his even though he doesn't remember when they entangled their fingers.
It was one of the few things that gave rest and some sort of pleasant taste to the adrenaline that was zooming through his veins before.

''It does.'' He agrees. They both smiled again.
Jeongguk could barely remember when the waitress came and took their orders because every second he spent with Taehyung, his focus was fixated on him. He has a lot of presence in the room, maybe because he's so used to the spotlight, but it doesn't make Jeongguk uncomfortable.
In fact, it makes him feel at ease.

Taehyung also knows how to talk to people. At least to him. It wasn't very long before they jumped into conversation over their mutual love for photography and Jeongguk caught himself rambling on and on for much over half an hour before he
abruptly stopped. Jeongguk had covered his mouth in shock that he has talked for so long while looking at the other, hoping he wasn't offended. Taehyung only grinned, head resting on a raised arm before asking him to tell him more about himself.
Jeongguk could feel the blood seeping over his cheeks then, his face flushing red before he stuttered over when he first started his beginning photography class and how he decided with his career. Then after they did away with the entree and was waiting
for their dessert, Taehyung started introducing himself too.

Jeongguk got to glimpse at his past, his hopes and dreams for his passion for music and it was...nice. That's how he could explain it without it getting too complicated or overly romantic.
Through the stories they told each other, they were giving a piece of themselves for the other to carry. While it wasn't that relevant, it was still important because this was just the beginning of the chapter that they were writing together. And maybe someday after this,
they'll write the rest of their narratives together even. As Jeongguk looked like Taehyung's beaming face while he explored over his love for instruments, especially the saxophone, and the colors danced through the room as the chandelier hung over their heads, Jeongguk hoped for
that. He hoped that in the future, they'll be writing their narratives together.

Unbeknownst to him, they already are.

''You look nice.'' Taehyung greets him when they meet again.

Jungkook tries to put on a smile that makes it seem fitting that he's wearing a suit rather than his usual casual clothes. He supposes that is one of the most apparent differences between him and Taehyung.
Not only do they live in two separate worlds but they also dress like it. He doesn't think he looks that spectacular in formal attire. At least, not as splendid as Taehyung does. His suits just adore him and they love hugging his body while Jeongguk feels like
it's a struggle just to put his on.

''Thanks,'' Jeongguk replies but then he sees Taehyung reach a hand towards him and panics. In his mind, he thinks that Taehyung is wanting a handshake but he doesn't know why because they already introduced themselves but he didn't want to
leave Taehyung hanging so he also reaches to shake his hand. However, in the few seconds that he raises his arms, Taehyung moves past them and steps closer which only made Jeongguk flush deep red again.
Taehyung was actually going for his collar because, in the midst of Jeongguk's hassle an hour earlier, he didn't pay much attention to the shirt he had on underneath and it was sticking out from his neck. Since Jeongguk's arm was still raised, he could only rest them on the side
of Taehyung's hips, making their positions seem more couple-like and intimate since it looked like they were embracing each other lovingly.
The moment was quite difficult to explain. They were both blushing at first, the realization of their own awkwardness standing out before they both smiled, one of those genuine, in the moment smiles that seemed to knock both of them into a trance-like shock.
Jeongguk didn't know if it would seem rude to pull his hand away so he didn't, just allowed himself a couple more seconds to hold onto the other or at least until Taehyung pulled away instead. But he didn't pull away.
''Here, let me.'' Taehyung chuckled before fixing his collar and Jeongguk wasn't sure if he was the only one that felt the electrifying shock when Taehyung's fingers brushed by the curve of his neck.
Jeongguk didn't remember how he managed to move and sit down but thank goodness he did cause otherwise, his knees would've given out before long.

This time, he noticed that instead of sitting in front of him, Taehyung sat right next to him. To give him room, Jeongguk moved
inside but Taehyung just scooted closer and in the heat of it all, Jeongguk found that he also leaned in closer too, making sure that their sides were intact and against each other. In the back of his mind, he wonders how they'll be able to eat like this, or at least how /he/
will be able to since his dominant hand is by Taehyung's arm and a second later Taehyung's left hand had slowly fixed themselves around his. However, the longer they held hands, the more he realized he didn't really care that much about dinner. The reason he's here isn't because
of the fancy courses but because of the person next to him.

''So,'' He clears his throat. ''What did you want to talk about earlier.''

''Oh jeez, I almost forgot.'' Taehyung laughs before his tone turns more serious.
''Well, firstly, I want to reiterate the fact that I love spending time with you. The past week or so that I've been around you was the highlight of my life, literally! The thing is I want to be around you all the time but there is one thing I need to run by you and it's really
important. Even though the tour is canceled, I still have to make do with other jobs and I haven't gotten my company's full support regarding my personal relationships and I don't want anything to come in our harm's way. If we get there one day, I want to publicize our
relationship but I don't think that time is right now. I want to be able to do it right so for the meantime, I hope it's okay with you if we keep everything on the down low and more private. '' Taehyung bit his lip while looking at him.
''Is that all? Of course, I'd understand where you're coming from. As your boy-....boyfriend and as a fan of yours I wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize your career.'' Jeongguk hoped that it was okay to announce their relationship like this but seeing as Taehyung didn't
correct him, he went on. ''I really appreciate you thinking this through for us, Taehyung. It means a lot to me that I mean this much to you.'' He added softly.

''You're the best.'' Taehyung responded and unconsciously he leaned forward to hug him but Jeongguk also moved in at
that moment, funny how they always do this, and they ended up brushing their lips together ever so slightly before pulling away in surprise.

''Woah, I-...'' Jeongguk's eyes were as wide as they could be.
''I liked that.'' Taehyung blurted out and then they were both silent again.

''...I liked it too.'' Jeongguk confessed cautiously, watching Taehyung's expression for any sort of negative emotions. Instead, Taehyung just smiled and leaned forward again.
This time, a real one, a genuine kiss.

Jeongguk felt like fireworks were going off inside of his head. Needless to say, Taehyung did too.
______________
''I had a lot of fun tonight.'' Taehyung pulled down the window to talk to him again even after they already said goodbye. Jeongguk wasn't sure if it's a soulmate thing but it's at times like this that he feels like the connection he has with Taehyung is much more than it seems
because he had also hoped that they'll still be able to talk, not like through text but face to face. Strange how he already feels like he misses Taehyung even though they already spent six hours of the night together.
It was already much past midnight and their sweet goodbye address is making it longer but he doesn't mind.

At first he didn't want Taehyung to drive him back since they wanted to keep everything a secret but Taehyung insisted.
He wasn't going to catch a taxi in this hour and since there's nobody outside right now, Taehyung argues that it would be safe for the most part. Plus it was a twenty minute drive which means they could finish the conversation they abruptly ended earlier.
In the end, Jeongguk gave in to Taehyung's puppy eyes and his persuasive words, not that he was complaining.

''I had a lot of fun too.'' Jeongguk smiled, leaning his arms against Taehyung's car window.
''Are you available this weekend too? Taehyung asked enthusiastically.

''Friday and Saturday, no. I've skipped too many hours but I don't have to go in Sunday.'' Jeongguk suggested. “We can spend time then.”
''Sunday it is.'' Taehyung says back and Jeongguk could feel the warmth of Taehyung's breath on the tip of his nose since it was a sharp contrast against the cold morning air. ''I'll see you soon, bambi.''

''Bambi?''
''Oops, I let my nickname slip.''

Jeongguk almost wanted to pretend to be mad but he couldn't after the adorable apologetic look Taehyung had on.

''It's only fair if I give you a nickname too.''
Jeongguk gave Taehyung a goof once over trying to find another name that suits him but at the time, he barely thought of anything because of the distraction that is Taehyung’s eyes and the lingering grin on his soft lips.
''You can call me Taetae, or just Tae.'' Taehyung suggested, giggling at the serious face Jeongguk had on while trying to decide a nickname for him.

''Baby.'' Jeongguk muttered blindly and Taehyung beams at him for the pet name.
''Which ever one you want.'' He replied lovingly and Jeongguk almost wants to ask Taehyung to stay the night or if he wants to just drive together until the sun comes up but he controls himself.

''I'll see you soon Tae.'' Then quirkly he adds, ''Good night, baby.''
Taehyung's good night flutters to his nose before it’s lost in the wind as he hesitantly drives off and Jeongguk is smiling to himself like an idiot by the side of the road for a few minutes before he walks back to his apartment.
Well, he actually skips back to his apartment but that’s beside the point. He fishes for his keys at the door but then the door opens by itself and when he looks up, he's met with the aghast face that belongs to his roommate and the perplexed looks on Namjoon and Seokjin's face.
Jungkook is almost lost as to why they looked that way but then he realizes that Taehyung left not too long ago. Well damn him because it has got to be a joke that he's been trying to convince his friends of who his soulmate is for the past few
weeks and they never believed him and after Taehyung and him had agreed to keep their relationship private, now was the time that his friends actually found out about the two of them.
Jeongguk hoped that there was a tiny sliver of chance that they didn't see Taehyung since it was too dark outside. While there was streetlights, maybe they couldn't see that far away? Or maybe they were just appalled at the untimely fashion he decided to come home to and he
chews the insides of his lips while begging for that chance to be granted to him.

Unfortunately it didn't.

''My god.'' Hoseok breathed and it felt like they were all holding air in their lungs and releasing them at the same time. ''You just stepped out from Kim Taehyung's car.
——————
“All this time-“ Seokjin blurted.

“How long has it been-“

”It really is you.” Hoseok seemed to be talking to himself rather than Jeongguk.

”Okay guys, calm down.” Jeongguk felt a headache coming with all the questions and statements thrown at him in unison.
The interrogation was already hard enough without everyone speaking at once and leaping on him.

”So it’s official, official?” Seokjin asked after a while. “He really is your soulmate?”
”Yes.” Jeongguk answered for the thousandth time.

”What color is my shirt then?”

“It’s red, Seokjin. You’ve worn it twice this week.” Jeongguk fought the urge to roll his eyes.

”Sorry, just had to make sure.”
”Well, I’ve stopped being colorblind for the past few weeks if you haven’t noticed.” Jeongguk answered. Seokjin shrugs.

”So it’s true? You guys are a thing now?” Namjoon added.

”Yes, I’m dating Taehyung.” Jeongguk took a deep breath.
“But you guys can’t tell anyone else other than the people in the room right now, especially not to our coworkers or people we don’t know.”

“Of course it’s going to be a secret!” Namjoon replied. “You didn’t even have to tell us, well not me at least.
You should know how everyone has been trying to get a hold of more information on Taehyung since the break he took. Who knows what’ll happen if they find out about you guys.”
”Okay but am I the only one who finds it funny that our job has been having us search for Taehyung’s supposed lover all this time and he’s been in front of us all along? He even works at dispatch for Christ’s sake.”

“Believe me, I know.” Jeongguk replies.
“Which is why you guys of all people should know how serious this is. I really really like him so i don’t want to screw this up over something trivial like that. I need you guys to keep this a secret.”

“Of course we will Gguk.” Hoseok assured him.
“You have our word, Jeongguk.” He patted him on the back

”Not so fast.” Seokjin interrupted. “I still have one very important question I have to ask before we stop talking about this.”

”What is it?”
”Have you guys-“

”No, we haven’t.” This time Jeongguk actually rolls his eyes as he gives his response flatly. Knowing his friend, he already knows what the question would be.
Then again, it’s because he knows his friends that he knows he can trust them with this. Even though they are workaholics, they still care for him.

Internally, he sighs in relief while his heart warms at the knowledge of his friends being there for him at a time like this.
Jeongguk smiles to himself slightly before they take everything to the living room.

At some point of time, he’s going to have to tell Taehyung about this but he’s sure he wouldn’t mind as long as he has their promise to keep everything a secret.
Speaking of Taehyung, even though they just left each other and they were together just a couple minutes ago, he already misses him.

Oh, he can’t wait to see him again.

''I ate too much this time,'' Jeongguk mumbled from the passenger seat after their date night Sunday evening. Taehyung glances sideways at him for a second, laughing before he turns his eyes back on the road.

''I think I did too.''
''Next time, don't let me order two desserts.'' Jeongguk sighed, rubbing his tummy before slouching in his seat. ''Or maybe after the meal, we can go watch a movie or something like that to let me digest before we go get something sweet. ''His face lights up a bit at the idea.
''We could go watch Endgame!'' He suggested eagerly.

Taehyung tried to say something but then choked back his words before running the thought over in his head. He feels a little guilty because all they've done so far is have dinner or lunch together, occasionally stopping by
somewhere that's private to get to know each other more but it still isn't the same as the things a regular couple would be able to do.

''I'm not sure if we can do that right now...-'' Taehyung bits his lip.
''Oh shit, sorry, it's my bad. I forgot.'' Jeongguk apologized after realizing that they had just made a pact. Ouch. Now the atmosphere is a little tense.

''No, it's my fault. If you really want to, we can try-...''
''That's okay. We can wait until it comes out on DVD or Netflix. It's my lack of consideration.'' Jeongguk states just as Taehyung parks the car in front of his apartment.

''Are you sure?'' Taehyung asks nervously.
''Yeah,  of course. Regardless of what we do,'' Jeongguk internally boosts his self-confidence before turning to Taehyung and clasping their hands together. ''As long as it's with you, I'd be happy. Seriously, there's nothing more I can ask for than to be with you.''
''Jeongguk, I...you're too amazing. I'm just so lost for words.'' Taehyung intertwines their fingers. ''Once we get this figured out, I'll go with you to watch all the movies you want.'' He pledges.

Jeongguk chuckles a little before responding. ''Pinky promise?''
''Pinky promise.'' Taehyung latches their pinkies together playfully into a hook before leaning forwards mischievously. ''And just for a little more assurance...'' Taehyung trailed off softly.

It all happened so fast.
Jeongguk could see Taehyung scooting forwards and he watches Taehyung's face enlarge by the nanosecond and his eyes quickly dart from Taehyung's face to his lips and then back but he still didn't expect it. Not even when Taehyung's breath ghost over his skin, not even then.
Jeongguk blinks when they make contact and he felt the soft lips touch his own. Then he blinks again and it's suddenly as if the wheels in his brains stops turning before they rapidly go into overdrive and steam seems to be blowing off from over his head. Oh...

Oh.
For a second he hesitates before he gathers his body and mind together or at least enough for them to function again and then he kisses Taehyung back. It was brief but at that moment, it seemed as if nothing else in the world mattered, like it was just their two souls in the
universe, tangled and together. This was all while Jeongguk struggled to comprehend the action that is their kiss, but then again, this sort of event is something that couldn't be put into a description, at least not an accurate one.
He only knows that it was short, sweet, and so overwhelmingly delightful that he feels empty when Taehyung pulls away, a tender smile on his lips before his boyfriend fixes his posture. It's their first kiss and Jeongguk didn't expect it to be so soon but now that it happened
he's more than happy that it did.

''So um, I'll see you in a couple of days?'' Taehyung softly blinks, bats his eyelashes and Jeongguk isn't sure if he's still in reality or if he's dreaming.

''Uh huh.'' He manages to nod.
How he was able to get out of the car and make it back to his apartment was a mystery that night but Jeongguk is proud of himself for not tripping over himself while Taehyung is watching from the car.

Oh god. He kissed him. Taehyung kissed him. He kissed Taehyung.
Jeongguk finally allows himself to do a victory jump and he squeals once he shuts the front door behind him. Then he's sliding down the wooden frame with his back against the door while he releases a huge breath.

Needless to say, tonight is a night that he'll never forget.
''Jeongguk? Is that you?'' The light suddenly flickers on with a sleepy Hoseok rubbing his eyes and then Jeongguk jumps back onto his feet.

''Jeez, don't scare me like that.'' Jeongguk raised his voice but he isn't yelling and if
Hoseok was sober enough to notice it, he'd realize that Jeongguk's voice is actually more...caring in a way. It's like as if nothing could damage his good mood as the younger kicked his shoes off and quite literally skipped down the corridor.
''Were you with Taehyung again?'' Hoseok asked, yawning and stretching while he did so.

''Mhm.'' Jeongguk flutters away while he replays everything in his mind and the funny thing is, regardless of how many times he does it, it still seems so fresh and romantic.
''What did you guys today?'' Hoseok raises a lazy eyebrow while looking at Jeongguk giggling to himself on the couch like a dumbass with the fondest look in his brown eyes. And then he's smiling again like he didn't hear a single word from Hoseok.

Hoseok sighs.
''Nevermind. It must be a soulmate thing. Pretend I didn't ask.'' Then he turns around to leave.

''Don't go to bed too late, okay?''

''M'kay.'' Jeongguk cheerfully replies and they both go back to their rooms.
Jeongguk doesn't remember how he went to sleep that night but he does recall the excitement of thinking that he's going to spend the rest of his life with Taehyung and how fulfilling the thought as before he fell into a dream that was just the replay of their kiss that night.
The rest of his life. Huh, that's such a strange yet sweet thought because those kinds of feelings doesn't often overtake a person yet he's so sure of it.

So, so sure.

________________
Today Jeongguk felt like something was off.

Taehyung's texts seem a little weird. He can't really quite put his finger on it but there's a weird feeling in his gut that he can't shake off.
He's talked to Tae enough times to know that he doesn't usually talk like the way he did today and he knows him too well to not feel like somethings up with him. It's all little details but they mattered and so much so that it makes him a little nervous about it.
The messages by themselves were already startling enough. Jeongguk could swear he's not being overly sensitive to digital letters but then an hour ago, Taehyung called him and told him to wait for him outside the Seoul City Mall for a reason he didn't say over the phone.
That was even stranger because Taehyung sounded rushed and even a bit uneasy and Jeongguk didn't even get the slightest chance to reply or say anything before he hastily hung up.
Another thing is that the mall is super busy with loads of people going to and fro and Jeongguk couldn't barely hear himself think in the crowd of strangers that's walking around him on the sidewalk next to the parking lot.
He had just gotten here for a few minutes but maybe it's his sixth sense or something but standing here, he's almost aboslutely certain that Taehyung is hiding something from him. Speaking of the devil, at that very second
he felt the vibration of his phone in his pocket so he pulled it out and pressed ''Accept''.

''Hello, Tae?''

''Hey baby! Where are you?''

''Uh I'm standing in front of the East Entrance. Are you here too? What's going on?'' Jeongguk was about to say something els
e before he felt a tap on his shoulder and mumbled an ''Excuse me,'' to the person behind him but then he felt it again so he turned around. He was about to raise his voice at the stranger but then he realized that it was no stranger at all.
Surprise, it was Taehyung. Well, just Taehyung with an oversized hoodie, Jeongguk squints because that hoodie is awfully familiar, almost like the exact replicate of a hoodie he also owns but has disappeared for a week or so, and face mask, sunglasses and all.
''Hey!'' Taehyung waved energetically.

''Why are you dressed like this?'' Jeongguk circles around him playfully before looking him up and down, analyzing his disguise.
''Well I can't really show up without them. Too many people.'' Taehyung grumbled. ''It'd be too chaotic for our movie.''Taehyung tugged on the hoodie.

''Movie? What movie? We're going to see a movie?''
''Yeah.'' Taehyung beamed, Jeongguk couldn't see his smile underneath the mask but he was quite sure Taehyung was about to jump out of his skin.

''Our movie.'' He repeated before fishing out two tickets from his pocket. ''You said you wanted to see Endgame together.''
''But I thought that we had to keep it a secret and you were too-'' Jeongguk was speechless, gawking at his boyfriend that seemed to be more than happy at his reaction.

''It wouldn't hurt to do something risky every once in a while and have fun.'' Taehyung shrugged.
''Relationships are about sacrifices and compromises aren't they? And we're in a relationship, right? You're my other half.'' He stated nonchalantly and Jeongguk wonders if Taehyung realizes how dangerous it is to melt his heart like this.

''But-''
''No buts.'' Taehyung links their arms together and pulls him towards the theater located inside the mall. ''We're almost late to the movie and we gotta get good seats.''

Jeongguk could only allow himself be pulled towards the theater with the goofiest smile on his lips
before his feet carried themselves. '' Taehyung,I love you so much.''

''Huh? What did you say?'' Taehyung stops and turns around. He didn't hear because of the line of people talking in line and the whole place is as packed as it is outside.
Jeongguk smiled, a smile more for himself. ''It's nothing.'' He scoots closer before he hugs Taehyung loosely.

There's a lot of families and people here but most improtantly, they were surrounded by couples that were just as intimate as they were if not more.
Somehow that also makes Jeongguk more bold and carefree while Taehyung is nuzzled between his arms. ''I just wanted popcorn and a coke.'' And to get a little practice of saying those words, that's all.
''Wanna share it?'' Taehyung leaned his head towards the crook of his neck and suggested.

''Of course.'' Jeongguk tilts his head down and kisses the only
part of Taehyung that was visible underneath his disguise,. The kiss is a little wet against Taehyung's forehead but they were both smiling and giggling with each other until they were next in line.

Jeongguk couldn't ask for a day that was better than Taehyung leaping into
his lap during the middle of the movie and then the two of them crying together in the dark theatre with other people who loved each other.

It was perfect, so magical and so true that Jeongguk was smiling even while he was dreaming that night.

more moments together!

late nights
Being together with Taehyung for the past few months has been something like an experience that seems to be able to stop time yet it also feel like everything happens so fast, too fast in fact. One second, he’s luxuriating in kisses and hugs and then the next he’s back at home
waiting to see him again.

Jeongguk supposes thats the feeling of love. It’s one that happens in the blink of an eye but at the same time you get used to it. Getting used to Taehyung is something that was life changing.
Whether that was because of their bond or because of all the things they did together, he doesn’t know. But with every day his feelings grow stronger and the only thing that he knows is that he never wants to let go of Taehyung’s hands.
Not unless he has to and even then they have to whisper sweet nothings and promises to see each other again soon otherwise they won’t be able to part away.

Childish, he knows that but he doesn’t really care.
Jeongguk thinks they did a really good time managing their time. With his job and Taehyung’s busy schedule, it was a miracle that they’re able to be together as long as they due. Then again, people always make time for the things they want to do so that was only natural for them
to make time for each other.

Today was no different but with their relationship progressing, new experiences come out from the old so when Taehyung invited him to stay the night, he said yes. It was almost without any hesitation even though he was nervous about it because oh god
he’s going over to his house.

Hes still the shy shy little boy who’s still excited over all the little things in their relationship but because he’s so comfortable with Taehyung’s company, he’s always up to do anything he wants. And for the next step such as going over to
to Taehyung’s home, that’s just something he couldn’t miss out on.

They had just gotten back from one one of their many sight seeings and it was pretty late and Jeongguk wasn’t sure if Hoseok would have left the door open for him when it’s 2 am.
Or maybe he did but he wasn’t sure if Hoseok wouldn’t kill him if he woke him up at 2 am.
Regardless, Taehyung was super enthusiastic about having a sleepover and since they’ve been dating for months now, Jeongguk didn’t see a reason to say no.
So now they were cuddled up on Taehyung’s bed while scrolling through Netflix even though their eyes are getting droopier and droopier. It’s one of those times where your mind is sleepy but your heart isn’t so they were both hanging on to the last layer of conscience they have
since it was pretty late.

Jeongguk didn’t know what he liked more. Taehyung sharing half of his bed with him or Taehyung almost falling asleep on his arm after they brushed their teeth together. It all seemed so homely, like it was part of a routine that they’d be used to if
they were married.

Jeongguk stopped himself right there because it was too late to be consumed by those kind of thoughts and he knew once he went down that path he wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight because he’d be too busy daydreaming about what it’d be like.
One thing that was surprising is that Jeongguk didn’t freak out entering Taehyung’s apartment that was much bigger and more expensive than his. Then again, from all the time they’ve spent together, Jeongguk had already expected it so they didn’t waste any time before
snuggling together while trying to find a show to put on while they fell asleep.

In the end, Taehyung just clicked a random button and then turned over to cuddle him back and Jeongguk wants to point out that Taehyung is wearing his hoodie again but he looks so cute in it.
He also didn’t want to say anything when he’s also borrowing some of Taehyung’s clothes for the night since this was a spontaneous idea but he really wants to comment how adorable it was.

However he’s lost that chance when Taehyung fell asleep almost seconds
almost cuddling up to his chest so he only smiled sleepily and kissed Taehyung on the forehead, a kiss that always seems to happen nowadays but he’s not complaining.

“Good night. I love you so much.” And then Jeongguk fell asleep too.
Jeongguk woke up the next day to his phone being being blown up and the annoying sound of his own ringtone.
58.

uh oh
59.
60.
Jeongguk had shot up from the bed with his eyes glued to the phone screen. The fast motion startled Taehyung who was still asleep, making the older turn to the other side but Jeongguk spent too much sitting up so there was the cold air that was brushing against Taehyung's back.
He mumbled incoherently before tugging the sheets from Jeongguk's side, and Jeongguk allowed the blanket to be stolen from over him.

It was the least of his worries right now.
His thumb was scrolling through all of the social media on his phone and sure enough, his blurred face paired with the sincere intimacy with Taehyung was plastered on every headline, every trend of almost all the apps he had.
Currently, he was scrolling through his twitter timeline and everything has already exploded. The OP of the expose thread released the statement and evidence at 4 am and it has been trending ever since and it's all what people talked about.
At first there were sounds of disbelief, many thinking they're just friends who were going out and having fun with others giving Taehyung the benefit of the doubt. Then there was also a lot of people, mostly his fans, wishing
Taehyung the best of everything and if his boyfriend was the reason why he canceled the tour then so be it. They would support him through anything and reading those comments made Jeongguk a little less panicked and anxious right now.
However, good is almost always balanced with bad and
as he reached deeper in the comment section, the ugliness of immaturity slapped his face and caused those angsty emotions to pivot again.
There were many good comments but it’s still mixed together with hideous comments, saying rude things about Taehyung that is not true at all. Reading through them was like watching a movie with no meaning at all and yet it still managed to affect him in the most horrible way.
Jeongguk felt disgusted by the wave of people who doesn’t seem to understand how Taehyung is a person too. They all know what it’s like to love someone but because Taehyung is a celebrity he’s supposed to be barred away from the most important emotion a person can feel.
His stomach does a nauseas twist when he realized that he was also part of the reason why this was happening. They should’ve been more careful, he should’ve been more careful because he knew how the media worked with celebrities.
It was stupid of him to let Taehyung spoil him with constant outings. He knew Taehyung was a public figure and they already made a pact to take things slowly but they still let their feelings take ahold of their rational thoughts and now he doesn’t know how to fix it.
There were tens of thousands of questions and worries racing through his mind and he was sickened by it. He doesn’t even want to think about how Taehyung would feel once he found out because above all the concerns, that scared him the most.
He was staying up too much so that finally woke Taehyung up as he rubbed his eyes drowsily. The first thing he saw was the back of Jeongguk’s body and smiled but Jeongguk was still sitting like a frozen statue and wasn’t looking at him so he decided to make himself known.
”Good morning, Gguk.” Taehyung spoked softly as he stretched his arms over his pillow.

Taehyung was surprised when he didn’t get a response so he sat up as well.

”Is something the matter? What’s wrong?”
Jeongguk still didn’t answer him but Taehyung was able to see through his shoulder and then all sleepiness from him evaporated as well.

“Oh god.” He whispered ghostly.
61

the responses
62.
Jeongguk was going to click on another tab but Taehyung reached over him and turned his phone off. That’s when Jeongguk finally struck out of his miserable trance and acknowledged his presence. There was so many things that he wanted to say, so
many things that are making him feel anxious. What was Taehyung going to say about the situation? What were they going to do about the people who frowned upon them? How are they going to face the support and rejection of everybody?
Taehyung could tell by one look that Jeongguk was almost near tears, quite frankly, he was about there too but he tried his best to stay calm.

This isnt his first time being on national news for something he couldn’t control, there has been numerous times people thought he
was dating another star or a friend but this was the first time that it was actually true and the first time he cared about how it was going to impact their relationship and affect the other person involved.
Taehyung knew Jeongguk is silently blaming this on himself and trying to be strong for him without negotiating his actual feelings and that’s completely wrong.

He is at fault just as much as he is and if not, more.
He was the one to propose their private relationship but it was because of his carelessness that it was exposed to public in such a chaotic way. However, he didn’t want to focus on those shallow thoughts.
No. Its actually the opposite.

It’s neither of their fault because they only did what’s natural for each other.

They’re soulmates. There’s no reason for them to have to hide and it’s only a shame that Taehyung figured that out now.
Taehyung softly brushed his hand’s against Jeongguk’s cheek and he could see the younger’s lips tremble and his wide eyes turn into a state of confusion but Taehyung didn’t stop.

“I’m sorry T-“ Jeongguk started.
”No. Don’t apologize to me. Don’t ever apologize to me for something like this.” Taehyung rejected firmly.

“Hey, it’s going to be okay. Just look at me. Look at me. Just me.” He murmured and Jeongguk almost immediately obliged and wrapped his hands around his wrist.
“But Taehyung-“

”Just focus on me. Please.” Taehyung made sure to look at him directly when he talked.

”We’re going to get through this.”

”But.”

”We are. Trust me, Jeongguk. We’re going to get through this together.”
Jeongguk was silent for a few minutes, the only sounds avaible was their breathing. After that, Taehyung could see the wires in his mind clicking together before Jeongguk gently nodded. If he had to fight for this love then that’s what he’ll do.
They were both pushing down the negative emotions and Taehyung let out a sigh of relief at this because he wouldn’t know what to do if this made Jeongguk want to leave h-No. he doesn’t even want to think about something like that.
Hes waited for him for so long, so so long. Taehyung always wanted to share a bond with someone just like everyone else but because of his busy schedule and his own flaws he wasn’t able to meet him at a better time and he definitely wouldn’t let that slip from his fingers.
He presses his forehead against Jeongguk’s temple, staring into his eyes like the first time they saw each other and then closed his own.

“We’re going to get through this together. I promise.”
__________________
Its been two weeks since the incident and Jeongguk feels like he’s about to lose his mind. Taehyung has told him to stay at home for his safety and Hoseok was kind enough to help him with everything else..
Needless to say, staying at home was kind of the only option ever since he tried to leave the first time and some people in the crowd recognized him from the photos. How, he didn’t know but after that traumatic experience he’s been holed up in his house ever since
It kills him.

He hasn’t seen Taehyung once since they said goodbye and the older snuck out of his apartment. He told him that he’s going to try and resolve some things and Jeongguk knows that he’s busy.
but Taehyung hasn’t responded to any of his messages or calls and he’s slowly wilting because he hasn’t talked to him in so long and he hasn’t heard his comforting voice just as much. Taehyung told him that he’ll miss him too and that he’ll work his hardest to try and fix things
Jeongguk feels so upset that he can’t really do anything to help and now they can’t even see each other any more.
63
Jeongguk types in another few sentences into his messages with Taehyung before he closes his phone and melts back into his bed, arms over his closed eyes. He’s had so little sleep the past few days but regardless of how tired he felt, he just couldn’t seem to sleep again.
He misses him so much.

He couldn’t even open his phone without seeing their wallpaper together or open any tab without seeing the headlines or Taehyung’s face but the distance between him and the person being displayed on his screen is so far away.
His friends has tried to talk to him about it but it didn’t make much sense with how much pressure is on them just because Taehyung is a celebrity. And it especially disgusts him thinking over how it all happened.
Finally, Jeongguk stopped trying to sleep but instead do something else. He didn’t want to wait around any longer because it was so futile and useless.

Hoseok has already left so it was easy for him to get dressed and casually evade his apartment.
This time he was smarter in his clothing choices, at least he hoped he was and that he wasn’t recognizable. Regardless, he had something very important to do and he needed to go outside and be there.
Getting into his office building was as easy as ever since he still had his work ID but walking in was difficult. If there was anyone in Seoul that was still questioning who it was that was dating Kim taehyung, they wouldn’t be here.
Here, all the people were either journalists or interns who used to work with him but funny how it was someone in this building that wrote an article that was so damaging and hurtful not only to him but to the person he cared about the most.
Jeongguk didnt linger on that though. Finding out who did it wouldn’t reverse anything they did and it’ll just hurt more. However, the stares from his coworkers, well not for long, were really hard to endure.
Hoseok was the first to find and approach him instead of whispering behind his back.

“What are you doing here? Are you out of your mind, Gguk?”

“No, my mind is perfectly clear. That’s why I’m here.” Jeongguk gently smiles at Hoseok and pulls away his arms.
“Is Mr. Song in his office?”

”Yeah.”

“Thanks.” Hoseok looked like he wanted to say something else but Jeongguk was already on his way upstairs and wouldn’t have listened to him anyway.
It’s weird how when you set out to do something that it all just falls in place because Jeongguk thought it’d be much more difficult to actually do this since the last time he was in this office, he was getting a promotion but it doesn’t seem so meaningful anymore. In fact, it
was actually this job that got him to meet Taehyung in the first place but it’s not so bitter to leave it behind. When he really thinks about it, it’s actually more of a relief because he can finally start doing things with his own free will without caring about anything else.
“Jeongguk? I didn’t expect to see you so soon.” Mr. Song was a little bothered because he didn’t knock but Jeongguk found that he could care less. One knock wasn’t going to change anything.

”It’s okay. I’m not going to be here for long.”
Jeongguk fumbled through the papers he prepared earlier. “I’m resigning today.”

”Listen, son. I know it’s a lot to go through right now but your two weeks shouldn’t be here.”

”It’s not my two weeks. I’m quitting on the spot.”
”Son, you just got promoted, I mean, you’re so treasured here why would you do something to hurt your career like this? You’ve just gotten a new camera too! Your opportunities are limitless.”

Jeongguk frowned. “I don’t feel treasured at all.
And quite frankly, I’m not your son. For your information, it was my boyfriend who gave me my new camera and my career no longer concerns you.” He slips his letter onto his desk and then turns on his heels.
His hand was halfway to the doorknob when he stopped. “But since I’ve worked here for so long, I’m just going to give you a heads up. The last time I spoke with Taehyung, I think he mentioned something about a lawsuit.” And then he’s out the door.
There was a part of him that thinks he was maybe too harsh but then the memories of the past week gets to him and all he wants to do is yell at everybody here. But he doesn’t because wasting his breath and energy here means less time for him to do things that actually mattered.
He wants to see Taehyung. He wants to see him so badly and that desire is already overpowering him to leave and find him. Jeongguk lets that feeling carry him because he just needs to see his soulmate right now and if he doesn’t, he doesn’t know what he’ll do.
The ringtone of his phone sounds in the car and Jeongguk sees that it’s a call from Namjoon. There’s hesitation but eventually he picks up.

”If this is about me quitting then I don’t want to hear anything to change my mind.”

”You quit?” Namjoon shouted through the other line.
”Yes.” Jeongguk had to turn the volume down to avoid blasting his eardrums.

”About time.”

”Huh?”

”Wait actually, you’re right on time.”

”What do you mean?”

”Well, see for yourself.”

taehyung’s public statement
Jeongguk was pretty speechless after opening his timeline. There was a lot of time spent on him rereading Taehyung’s message again and again and the more he read it, the more teary his eyes got but magically, the tears didn’t fall down. They just couldn’t.
It was a spectacular and very strange look because it looks like he could cry any second but his eyes are so gentle and his smile is so wide. Such a conflict of a state to be in but Jeongguk felt more relieved than any other time in his life.
Its so deeply touching that Jeongguk didn’t know what to do. His mind went blank, only to be filled with the words Taehyung said and then it went through a vague run through of all the memories they had together. Jeongguk was always one to hold them dear to his heart.
Taehyung was so, so wonderful.
He knew that from the very beginning. However it just happens that Taehyung is still able to continue to surprise him by doing even better. All of that is just icing to the cake with all the memories and it’s as if he only realized
then that they were just as important to Taehyung as it is to him. Shocking but when you’re in love, you dismiss a lot of things but when you take a second to think about it, it suddenly makes so much sense. It clicks and that’s how people fall.
They love harder because they realize just how much they have to love. There are so many emotions running through Jeonggus mind but contrary to the past couple of weeks, they were all happy feelings. Happiness, joy, delight, and most importantly, peace.
He was just about to reread the paragraphs for the nth time but then a familiar photo covered up his screen. Taehyung’s smile showed up and then suddenly Jeongguk understood what he meant by everything was going to be okay.
He didn’t hesitate to pick up.

”Taehyung-“

”Jeongguk-“

”I want to see you.” They both rushed out the words.
Pause and then Jeongguk could feel Taehyung smiling from the other end. He himself went to wipe away the droopy tears, rubbing his eyes while leaning back in the car seat, almost laughing like an idiot.
”I’m in my apartment.”

Almost immediately. “I’ll be right there.”

Jeongguk can now recall why its usually Taehyung driving when they’re out together because he’s sure he’s broken so many red lights in just one drive than Taehyung ever did in his career but he didn’t mind.
The desire to see Taehyung is back again, this time deeper after hearing his voice after days of no contact. It’s itching his heart and it’s both natural yet lacking of common sense to step on the gas a little harder.
It was all a blur.

Jeongguk didn’t pay much attention to the blinking stoplights, to the mechanic noises of the car, to him slamming the car door and then running to Taehyung’s apartment. But he paid attention to Taehyung’s face when he saw him standing by the door
and noticed how it blossomed with energy when they locked eyes.

Time stopped.

No disguise, no words, no anything. It’s just the two of them.
Jeongguk feels like he’s thrown back to the time when he first saw him. It was such a mystical, unconveyable feeling. His world had just started to color itself with his eyes being able to finally identify all the different wavelengths, all the different lights.
Yet it was still nothing compared to the center of it all, Taehyung. It was a uproar of different things he can’t put to words but he knew that the feeling he had now is the exact same as it is back then.

Nothing’s changed.
But this time, instead of being hundreds of feet apart, they’re running towards each other and even though he’s playing this in slow motion, Jeongguk knew that soon, if he reached his hands out, he’ll be able to hold him in his arms.
Time resumed its normal flow when they embraced each other. He assumed that’s because things are finally lighting up again.

They were hugging each other so passionately, he didn’t want to let him go.

Neither did Taehyung.
“You didn’t have to do that for me.” He slowly breathed out. “You loved your job.”

”I heard somewhere that you did the same. You didn’t have to do that either. You loved your job too.”

”But I love you more.” It slipped out.
There was a second that they were both in second but then Taehyung’s eyes creased into a crescent moon and Jeongguk doesn’t feel like it’s awkward. Rather, this was the right time for him to say it, the right time for Taehyung to hear it.
”I love you.” He repeated. This time, it’s louder and more confident.

”I love you too.” Four words. That’s all they need.

The world has a lot of things that are splendid and amazing.
It gives you colors, the vibrant hues behind the skies, the land and the ocean. It gives you moments that take up your heart and mind and makes you laugh when you remember the good times. It gives you much to behold but most of all it gives you love.
Their love is special, one of a kind that’s different just like everyone else’s. But it’s this love that makes the colors enjoyable, that makes the memories worthwhile and it’s this love that shaped their two souls into one and made everything today possible.
It’s their love that keeps them together and now there’s nothing to stop their way.

It’s their world now.

This love belongs to them and each other so they’re going to enjoy it as much as theyre physically allowed to.
Its a life to live out and a world to explore and just thinking about doing all these things with the person next to him makes Jeongguk feel like the happiest man alive.

”I love you.” He whispers again, his hands nestled and pressed into Taehyung’s hair as he hugs him tighter
and then breaks away to meet his eyes. “I love you so so much.”

Theyre about the same height but when Taehyung ran out from his house he forgot to wear any shoes. So atypical from a singer but he could care less. He smiles and then leans forwards on his tippy toes.
It’s not a kiss like they’ve had before, young, carefree or clumsy. It’s one of passion, of devotion and adoration with every fiber of their body. It’s one of those kisses that makes the earth spin and for the heart to flutter with life again.
It’s a kiss that locks in everything into glue.

”I love you just as much.” Taehyung responds hastily before they kiss again and Jeongguk knew, he just knew that they’ve made it.

This love is theirs to keep forever.

being a slytherin, it’s only natural for taehyung to want his house to win all quidditch matches against gryffindor but the ultimate reason why he wants to win is so the gryffindor seeker can vent out his defeat and frustration by fucking him hard and raw

Taehyung lazily wrapped the green and silver scarf tighter as he leaned over the stands of the student section. The November air was chilly, a fresh mix of sunset leaves dancing with the wind every time it blows but things were just now getting heated in the game of Quidditch.
