First of all, #AnthonyJoshua is wiser than most of those conditioned to the rat race with impoverished souls lusting after a luxurious life that can’t be maintained. He is securing his future because he knows he will not be fighting/reigning in the ring forever.
He is building a brand for himself that will last longer than his boxing career having watched superstars crumble & fall to the vanities of stardom & fame. He knows something you don’t. It is not just about saving money but building to last with wisdom.
No condition is permanent in life. Live is a rollercoaster ride filled with peaks and troughs. A peak may last for 5 years while a trough may be for 20years if it doesn’t end up killing you with depression. So it is best you always prepare for uncertainties. But many don’t care..
Building on the sand by living a luxurious life just to measure up to the ephemeral game and glamour will always be your undoing. Go seek lessons from 50Cents, Iron Mike Tyson & all other black celebrities that fell for that bubble. They all filed for bankruptcy in the end.
Public life comes with its own pressures where people watching from the sidelines try to control their favorite stars. Because you are a fan it seem to automatically grant you the remote to tell popular figures how to live their lives & drag them over irrelevances.
This is why most will never escape the shackles of economic hardship. You meet a girl in the morning, who lives with her friends in a shared studio apartment & by evening she demands from you an iPhoneXS Max. To show you are capable you made this happen while your parent starves.
In a country where a graduate with no secure job or future will rather make an appearance with expensive gadgets than show common sense or value in the sociopolitical space. Vanity is all we celebrate without cerebration, while we vituperate outliers in our dying society.
You probably may not know how ephemeral life is until you lose your savor & people talk about you like you are no longer alive. No money can buy you back to limelight then. There will always be a new distraction, new kid on the block etc but what counts is what you’re known for.
If Sir Shina Peters realize this early he wouldn’t have wasted money on a White House mansion which is a shadow of itself now owing to obsolescence & lack of maintenance. Did he ever think a time would come when effective demand will only come from people who don’t know history?
In the next 5-10years the reigning Cars, Houses & gadgets would have been outdated and your statuses would have changed either for better or for worse depending on the decisions you are making now which will define your destiny. You have time to reflect. Think while it’s legal.🚨
Consumerist conformists are the ones fueling the flame of the weaponization of poverty by oppressive imperialists. Their conductor lifestyle of living from hand to mouth without the apprehension of the future or the capacity to think beyond the now has compromised their future.
Note that @anthonyfjoshua is teaching you something with his influence and discipline. Those who are wise will see the lessons and take heed lest they fall. The fact that people make money in dollars doesn’t dictate spending based on earnings. No condition is permanent.
