My biggest pet peeve in the framing of the different candidates is the total disregard or willful obliviousness to the fact that Kamala has offered specific policies, often backed up by sponsored bills. I will share SOME of her proposals which you can evaluate as you see fit.

Kamala said Day 1 she would sign her LIFT Act, a prescription to address wage stagnation & provide working/middle class families relief. In summary:
-Households making up to 100K get $6K/yr credit or $500/mo
-Singles making up to 50K get $3K/yr or $250/mo

Another signature policy is closing the teacher pay gap b/w other professions. Highlights of the proposal:
- Fed fully funds 1st 10% required to close pay gap
- Fed invests $3 to states' $1 towards closing gap
-Addt'l investment for under-served schools

Kamala references her Rent Relief Act when asked about how to address the high costs of rents. It amends the IRS Code to allow a refundable tax credit for individuals who pay rent for a principal residence that exceeds 30% of their gross income

Kamala has spoken at length about criminal justice disparities. One specific policy she references is her bail reform bill which proposes funding to eliminate the money bail system and increase national pretrial reporting. congress.gov/bill/115th-con…

An issue of particular concern to me is Kamala's advocacy for Black maternal mortality rates. On the trail she references her Maternal CARE Act which among other things proposes funding for implicit/racial bias in ObGyn.

Kamala has signed on as a co-sponsor of the Green New Deal and has spoken about the existential threat posed by climate change. medium.com/@KamalaHarris/…

Kamala doesn't mince words on the racial disparities that impact Black families. This 6 min video provides a pretty good overview. Her Tom Joyner, Breakfast Club interviews (for example) are also good & NO she doesn't just talk race with Black interviewers

The last thing I'll share (for now) is a straightforward article (also with receipts) written early in the campaign on where Kamala stands on 9 major issues.

So next time someone says "____ candidate is the ONLY one with specific policies" and Kamala isn't mentioned, pull out this thread for receipts. People are free to argue the merits of these various proposals, but let's not act like they don't exist!
