3/ So we founded @PubliusLex, a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to fight in the courts for the civil rights of Americans who are not served by the traditional civil rights establishment. Publius Lex will focus on cases that have a broader social/legal/cultural impact ...
4/ The first cause @PubliusLex will take up will be to advocate legally for @MrAndyNgo, a journalist viciously assaulted in Portland by Antifa thugs in just the latest of a string of incidents in which citizens were assaulted by masked criminal gangs. publiuslex.com/pf/justice-for…
5/ @PubliusLex is raising funds to pay for the legal fees and costs of attorneys and other professionals who have stepped forward to assist @MrAndyNgo investigate his claims and pursue legal action. The contribution link for Andy's case is here: publiuslex.com/pf/justice-for…
6/ I am one of the attorneys who will be working to help @MrAndyNgo legally, but others have stepped up also. We will need local counsel in Oregon, paralegals, forensic police experts, video/photo experts, criminologists, court reporters, graphics/digital support, & more.
7/ In coming months, as resources allow, this nonprofit will take up other cases and causes. Donors may support the nonprofit's general efforts on the website publiuslex.com, or contribute to help specific cases or causes such as Andy's.
8/ The website itself was made possible by the tireless efforts of @MattShupePR, @IanEckstein, and @morganmurtaugh. Even though the website just went live, many people have already donated in the past 48 hours, raising nearly $20,000. The potential scope of litigation is broad -
