Over the last 2 years a rash of crowdfunders have suddenly popped up from a handful of anti-trans “gender critical” individuals.

Some have had single donations over £12k from anonymous sources!

I’ve investigated and can reveal they’ve raised over £280k!!! 😳

The “Gender Critical” crowdfunder phenomenon started with Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull aka “Posie Parker”, for a ‘legal fund’ after she was questioned by police for harassment and transphobic hate speech.

£12,274 was raised

The case never went to trial.

While Posie used some of the £12k to pay off her very expensive lawyer, the remainder has been used to kickstart her anti-trans t-shirt/ poster “business” - making more money to campaign against trans people/ take trips to America/ London with her anti-trans campaigning buddies!

Caroline Farrow followed Posies lead when a “friend” of hers started a crowdfunder to raise money through the “difficult time” of being vile and hateful about trans people online and being questioned by police.

She raised only £4,944

The case was dropped

The money disappeared

What’s interesting about Caroline Farrow’s crowdfunder is not how much (little) she raised, but who was behind it?

It seems Caroline shares ‘mates’ with Tommy Robinson! 😳

Linda Bellos has a distinctly tiny crowdfunder by comparison. Having cottoned onto the fact that crowdfunder platforms wouldn’t allow fundraising for legal expenses, her friends were very clear it was for “living expenses only” in defending her transphobia

Linda pocketed £2,208

Jennifer James was the first of the anti-transgender ‘super-fundraisers’ - raising a massive £30,495 to take @UKLabour to court for allowing trans women on their ‘All Women Shortlists’

Donations via GoFundMe are untraceable, and easily open to abuse by foreign powers.

The £30k obtained from unknown sources currently sits in Ms James account awaiting the legal battle with @UKLabour, although she has been caught “borrowing” from it to fund her personal cash flow problems! 😳

The one-woman anti-trans-kids lobbying platform “Transgender Trend” has become an expert at eliciting money from unknown sources to fund campaigns trying to remove support of trans kids in schools.

Her widely criticised “Schools Resources Pack” raised £14,579

Stephanie Davis-Arai, the woman behind @transgendertrd overstepped the mark when she endorsed sending transphobic “Transgender Trend” stickers into schools - clearly indicating that her line of “caring about girls” was just a cover for transphobia.

Similarly, “Transgender Trend” was also found to be encouraging teachers to take actions that were against safeguarding recommendations.

Not satisfied with pushing literature that was in opposition to the 2010
Equality Act, Transgender Trend decided to ‘go large’ and crowdfund for additional money to push her anti-trans ideology even harder.

The money came in from numerous anonymous sources, raising £66,278! 😳

Not only has “Transgender Trend” received over £66k from numerous unnamed sources, there were several sizeable anonymous donations - £35,700 from only FOUR donors alone!

There’s clearly some people who REALLY want to see support for trans kids rolled back?! 😞

This becomes all the more concerning when witnessing the interest coming from America in ‘importing’ this anti-transgender literature into US schools!

Maybe these large donations also come from extremist groups in the US?

Another large beneficiary of anonymous “gender critical” crowdfunders has been “FairPlay For Women”.

Here @fairplaywomen raised £10,815 to push for a roll-back of existing transgender rights - attacking the 2010 Equality Act under the veil of responding to the GRA consultation.

Since the close of submissions for the @WomenEqualities GRA consultation, lobby group FairPlay For Women have received an extra £22,950, supposedly for “female rights”!

Where’s the money coming from? Where’s it going?

Because it definitely isn’t being spent on feminist causes!

Since online pseudo-feminist platforms were doing so well raking in the cash, some individuals have decided to use crowdfunders to fund their transphobic endeavours too!
Here’s Maya Forstater receiving £64,989 from who-knows-where under the guise of “talking about women’s rights”

Emboldened by the lack of successful legal action against their increasingly blatant transphobia, some “gender critical” individuals have turned to crowdfunders to finance their campaigns

Here’s “Harry the Owl” raising £27,267 to fight for no consequences for anti-trans hate!

Others have jumped on the “crowdfund your anti-trans legal action” bandwagon, like James Caspian, MA student at the University of Bath, disgruntled at having his transgender ‘desistence’ research project refused due to dubious methodology, raised £14,225 to take his uni to court.

“Gender critical” crowdfunders have now become so commonplace that the anti-trans Mumsnet brigade even set one up for a rich ‘beloved Internet personalities’ legal costs following their transphobia

£8,705 was raised- £2k of which went to pay for a mattress for another transphobe

The £279,729 accounted for so far through anti-trans campaigning crowdfunders are likely just the tip of the iceberg.

All of the “gender critical” platforms also accept PayPal donations (@womans_place_uk exclusively so)

How much money is flowing into these transphobic sites?

More importantly, WHERE is the money coming from, and WHO gains by fuelling anti-transgender hate in the UK?

There’s clearly a worrying trend of dark money making its way into Europe from extremists trying to influence support for the #LGBT community.

Transgender rights are seen as a ‘wedge issue’ - an ‘easy win’ by conservative right-wing evangelists.

Hands Across the Aisle was set up with the explicit intention to attack the trans community and start chipping away at #LGBT solidarity - all to benefit the powerful evangelical-conservative-right

Once equality for trans people is removed, next comes #LGBT, next women’s rights!

All of this is not news! @Hatewatch exposed the extreme-rights strategy to attack support for the #transgender community, then move on to other vulnerable targets until they’d rolled-back equalities and returned westernised society to a conservative state.
