The Social Geography of the BDS Movement and Antisemitism bit.ly/2Te2jRp
An original analysis of the global distribution of BDS Internet searches revealed disproportionate interest in countries such as New Zealand, Ireland, and Sweden, as well as in coastal US states with large academic institutions.
In the former regions there are few Jews and little contact with Israel, while in the latter, there are many Jews but proportionately fewer Christian supporters of Israel.
A simple explanation for these patterns is that BDS interest correlates with post-Christian contexts in which Jews are relatively absent, or with “white” class anxiety emanating from academia.
In the US, growing negativity about Israel in liberal Western communities is likely a class-based transfer of anxiety regarding ”white privilege” onto Israel and Jews.
The driver in the West is a leftward movement of ”white progressive” populations and politicians. Even in the absence of either Jews or Muslims, affluent lib communities are being influenced by the progressive left and moving toward more strident negative attitudes toward Israel.
Hostility is becoming a normative position based on decontextualized notions of ”war crimes,” ”human rights” or Israel’s ”right-wing government,” founded on post-colonialist ”anti-imperialist” intellectual stances.
In turn, these notions, specifically aimed at Israel, Jews, and the US, are being woven into the fabric of liberal middle class respectability.
The simplest explanation for this phenomenon is that affluent ”white” populations anxious about their own status in the racialized context of American and now global politics seek to defray their ”privilege” by scapegoating Israel and Jews and pandering to further left opinions.
Dislike for Israel and Jews is a litmus test and symbol of enlightened status. Since support for Israel (at least in the US) is strongly correlated with traditional religious viewpoints, anti-Israel bias serves to distinguish social classes even more broadly.
BDS is not simply a free-floating social preference among particular demographics. Institutionally it is a key instrument of the red-green alliance between left-wing “social democratic,” which is to say communist, organizations and Muslim Brotherhood-controlled groups.
These efforts mesh with the effective takeover of @UKLabour under @JeremyCorbyn by the Israel-obsessed.
Another report from Equality and Human Rights Commission investigation into Labour antisemitism demonstrates that Labour abd Corbyn set about systematically taking over party structures and radicalizing members against Israel and its supporters, especially Jews.
The obsession of a minority permitted the disinhibition of a broader group of bigots, and, indeed, encouraged it. They then indulged in all manner of crude antisemitism.
The same process, of an Israel-hating “social democratic” fringe seeking to take over the broader party and in the process dragging it and politics as a whole leftward, is underway with the Democrats.

What Nellie Saw

Remember the heady days of 2020? Progressives trained by the richest universities in the land suddenly had the chance to remake America in their image, the way they had always dreamed of doing. Image
The result was so obvious and crushing a failure that one is no longer supposed to talk about it.
Four years later, the power elite have discovered that their cosplay revolution is seen as merely ridiculous. Minority groups don’t want the new names that have been issued to them.

I was physically, emotionally and verbally abused.

I don't want to say it's because I'm the middle child. Nor do I want to harsh on my parents.

But is there a reason why an entire family turns on the unfavored child?

Do we just make it that easy? We just roll over?

" . . . it’s far too early for the mayor to crow “We have turned the corner of crime in our city.” nypost.com/2024/01/06/opi…
Overall crime in New York City dropped in 2023 over 2022; we’re still the “safest big city in America,” as Mayor Adams boasted recently — but that’s cold comfort when we’re still far behind 2019, the last year before the destructive effects of our criminal-justice “reforms” made themselves visible.
Consider car thefts: 5,438 in 2019; 15,802 in 2023.

The Supreme Court Is The Last Functioning Institution In America

That's Why It's Doomed thefederalist.com/2024/03/04/the…
In a 9-0 decision, the Supreme Court ruled states cannot use section 3 of the 14th Amendment to kick Donald Trump off state ballots over his alleged “insurrectionist” actions on Jan. 6, 2021.
Learning that state officials aren’t empowered to simply toss leading presidential candidates off ballots came as a great surprise to many incredulous left-wingers.
