“In error” my ass.

Local officials in Pennsylvania say nine ballots were discarded in error by a "temporary seasonal independent contractor." The Justice Department says seven of the ballots were for President Trump @CNN
“Seven (7) of those ballots when discovered by investigators were outside of any envelope. Those ballots were all cast for presidential candidate Trump. One (1) of those seven (7) ballots was able to be identified to an envelope that was recovered.
Two (2) military ballots that had been discarded were previously recovered by elections staff, reinserted into what appeared to be their appropriate envelopes, and then resealed. Therefore, the votes cast on those two (2) ballots are unknown.

Saying that Democrats are showing such weakness as to be “utter bullshit,” Payne acknowledged that the nominee almost certainly will be confirmed, but “the question is whether we can extract any flesh and bone in the process.”

Why won’t McConnell respect Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s dying wishes, CNN reporter @mkraju asks
via @BecketAdams
CNN’s Manu Raju took a break from his usual duties of stalking Republican senators in the Senate office buildings to ask McConnell at a press briefing, “Why not listen to her dying wish, apparently, to allow the next president to make this decision?”
The Kentucky lawmaker responded well, saying, “I prefer another thing she said recently, which was she thought the number on the Supreme Court ought to be nine.”

The coronavirus pandemic might have been prevented if not for Chinese cover-ups in the early days of the outbreak and the @WHO “parroting” #CCP propaganda, according to a damning audit from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.…
The 96-page report — obtained by The Post ahead of its planned Monday release — says the Chinese Communist Party destroyed evidence and buried troubling data, while nationalizing the supply chains and limiting exports of US companies 3M and GM, keeping key goods in the country.
“It is beyond doubt that the CCP actively engaged in a cover-up designed to obfuscate data, hide relevant public health information, and suppress doctors and journalists who attempted to warn the world,” reads the report, authored by Republican members of the committee.

The GOP Senate Damn Well Better Confirm Whoever POTUS Appoints via @KurtSchlichter…
“Perhaps it is glib to observe that, at the end of the day, Republicans should confirm a replacement for Justice Ginsburg because they can confirm a replacement for Justice Ginsburg, but there is a lot of truth to that observation.
They can do it because the president has the power under the Constitution to appoint a nominee (I expect it to be Amy Coney Barrett, but Barbara Lagoa is a possibility and a great one), plus because the Senate has the power under the Constitution to confirm said nominee.
